    I have another 4

    #1 America lives from wars.
#2 America attacks all the "rich" countries to get their oil.
#3 America covers up much shit they're doin'. (or blame someone else)
#4 America claimed that nazis are bad , still they brought many high ranked SS and SA men to America. ( for example Wernher von Braun )

I could go on for another hour but yeap thats it for now :)

Most of the things that are great about America are artifacts of nature.

Most of the things that are not great about America are artifacts of human nature.

Though if it wasn't for so many Americans being willing to fight to save natural places, we wouldn't have any wild areas left... which many other countries don't.

With only 2.18% of its surface being national parcs, the USA are far from being best worldwide.

China has 3 times more of its territory as national parcs- 8.6%- and Venezuela has even 21.76% of its territory as national parcs, almost 10 times more than the USA.

it isn't #1 anything. just the biggest bully. there was a time when it led the way in many ways. a time when in at least some ways it was an ideal example. those days ended 30 years ago, if not a long time before that. if they didn't end with raygun, they ended with mccarthyism, and if not mccarthyism, with the alien and sedition acts in the 1800s.

we were #1 in space, when we landed a man safely on the moon and brought him back, but now we've even abondond the shuttle.

we had a transportation infrastructure that was the envy of other nations and inferior to none. many decades ago, before it was replaced by worshipping the automobile and economically coercing nearly everyone into indenturing themselves to it.

we were a free country, at least for a major segment of our population. before building codes became "universal".

we had a society in which 80% were "middle" class, and almost no one was illiterate, when infrastructure was unionized and retailing was overwhelmingly mom and pop.

all of which has gone out the window with the bath water so to speak.

regarding conventionality as a virtue and thoughtlessness as freedom, has all but killed what america once dreamed of becoming.

none of these things are irriversable, if and when, the kind of country america could be, would be and should be, becomes once again, if it ever will or was, what people really want.

Yeah, the US has a lot of bullshit.

However, explain to me why most natives of other nations want to move here

And although the US government is a joke, explain to me why every other nation comes crying to us for help

Because we took all their stuff.

    [edit]

That was a facetious answer. Which is all the question deserved.

First, "most natives of other nations" do NOT want to move here. Some do, some have. Why?

The US has land, and work. If you lived in a small country and the family's farm was to be split among 6 children - or if it was to be given to the firstborn leaving you with nothing - wouldn't you want to leave? Or if you lived in a crowded country with little room for growth and full employment at the factories?

Why does the US have so much land? Because the Indians had land, and we took it. Because Mexico had land, and we took it. Why does the US have more jobs? Because we had more land - more resources, more room to grow,

Though the US has less room for growth now than before, other nations have kept pace and are even more crowded than they were. So the pressure to leave is still there.

As to why other nations ask the US for help; after a century or so of near-colonial exploitation in the rest of America - and across the globe - as well as profit made from fighting wars on other nation's soil, the US is wealthy beyond belief. The US has not had to rebuild its economy after the devastation of war since 1865. And every time the US gives or loans money to another nation there are profitable strings attached.

The above is an oversimplification, but I'm sure you live near enough to a library to do your own further research. Everything you read should be considered against the fact that the US occupies one of the largest, and most fertile and mineral-rich territories in the world. And that we stole it, fair and square.

It would be interesting to witness a dramatic shift from net immigration into the US to net emigration from the US. Honestly, as I was writing this post my friend pointed me to an article which proved my suspicion.

    http://rt.com/usa/news/leaving-us-america-country-289/

    According to this article,
"In the 24 months before polling began, the number of Americans between the ages of 25 and 34 living abroad managed to surge from barely 1 percent to over 5.1 percent. For those under the age span wishing to move overseas, the percentage has jumped in the same amount of time from 15 percent to 40."

    I love the USA.

    The nature is beautiful
the climate is varied, so just take your pick!
    it's still relatively free
    the drugs are top shelf
    the people are crazy

nature is always and equally beautiful, no matter what humans call the place where it is.

the remainder of those are questionable at best, if not downright dubious.

most natives of most other nations do NOT want to move here. those that do, do so primarily because it is always safer to be in the same tent someone is pissing out of, then in one they are outside of pissing in.

neither does every other nation come crying to the u.s. for help. only to stop being fucked over by us. and it isn't generosity, those are LOANS, often at exorbitant rates, while several other nations that can far less afford to be generous, actually are.

i'm not saying there aren't good SOME good things left, but lying to ourselves about it is lying to ourselves about it.

Strange how the US is hated throughout the world and indeed by its very own citizens, yet in times of famine or other natural disasters the US is the first place the world looks to for aid. I wonder why that is ? Maybe taking the time to get off your ass and attempt to make the changes you wish to see in our government might be more productive than complaining about a broken system. I agree with Death, US is still a great place to live with much to offer.

perhaps this lies in its having deprived many parts of the world of other options, in order that it might feed its own excessive collective ego. perhaps more likely, it resides only the imaginations of propiganda media and those fanatics who buy into its claims.

at any rate, america is not without hope, (nor do the realities i refuse to deny relate in any way to "hatered" of any sort nor semblence there of. they are simply realities, regardless of anyone's personal feelings on the matter.

as i was saying, america is not without hope. no nation is.
nor does that hope reside in replacing one ideology with another.
it resides rather, in abandoning ideological prejudice all togather, and facing real issues on their own logical terms, without regard to their ideological implications.
