I've had a monroe piercing and my ears pierced but I took them out. It's just hard to sleep with piercings. I like to be able to throw my face into a pillow with worrying about screwing up something.
i've had 2 forward helix piercings done in my left ear a month ago and i still can't sleep comfortably on my left side... so i know how you feel. don't you miss your piercings though?
I had to downsize my ear lobes back down to 1" about a year ago because I had big (1.25") wooden plugs that were very uncomfortable while sleeping because they were really wide and would push into my neck when I layed down haha. Now I just have 1" stainless steel tunnels that aren't too bad to sleep with, but sometimes I take them out before bed. Lately I've been contemplating going bigger again but the sleep issue is my only concern.
