Vaccines for children

A lot of you are talking about the MMR vaccine and how a doctor falsified evidence and how the study was false. I understand that, however there is a lot of information for parents of children with special needs and autism that did not come from that study. Thousands upon thousands of children who were perfectly healthy before receiving the vaccines suddenly developed Autism or Ashbergers. I am speaking from experience with my own nephew and also from many other parents who have had this occur. As a matter of fact one family in the U.S. just won their court case because they had video of the child directly before and after the vaccine. In my nephews instance. The vaccine was administered to a healthy, conscious vocal child. A couple of hours later it was like he wasn't even in the room. He stopped speaking, and stopped communicating or even looking at us. We have been working with the Son Rise program and improvements have been amazing. However I truly believe that the vaccine that was administered had a great deal to do with the development of Autism. I know this is long but hope it helps.

 

Winning a court case is different than saying that there is scientific evidence that vaccines cause autism.

To win a court case, you just have to persuade a jury. Juries can be manipulated easily by crafty lawyers.

What defenders of vaccines say is that children usually develop autism at the same age that they get the vaccine. I wonder if maybe the vaccines could possibly trigger the onset of autism in children that are going to become autistic anyway.

If vaccines cause autism, you would expect that there would be lower rates of autism among unvaccinated children. I'm not aware of any such supporting evidence.

Even if vaccines did cause autism, the danger to unvaccinated children posed by infectious diseases may be much higher.

Babies Immune systems ARE NOT COMPLETE and pumping them full of garbage IS NOT A GOOD THING TO DO!!!!!!

Let thier immune system develop NATURALLY.. Vaccines compromise your immune system and leave you MORE VULNERABLE to other things later in life.... (Auto immune diseases,etc)

Exactly. A lot of these diseases are now making a comeback, due to these parents. I read recently that there are now more and more doctors in the US who are refusing to treat children who have not been vaccinated for this very reason. Doctors waiting rooms are becoming incubators for unvaccinated children to pass these diseases onto babies and other children.

 

Define better....remembering that correlation does not infer causation. And when you selectively choose your reading material, you can "read about" whatever you want to support your already-made-up mind.

The big thing that non-vaccinating parents seem to be forgetting is this: The very fact that you can choose not to immunize your child and still have a reasonable chance of them not having the diseases you didn't immunize them against, IS BECAUSE OF IMMUNIZATIONS. It's the privilege of living in a society with herd immunity--enough kids are vaccinated that the disease isn't very common. Go to Africa, where kids are still dying of measles, and tell them to let their children's immune systems "develop naturally." It's not reasonable.

In other words, your child's protection of the disease is totally dependent on other people's kids getting vaccinated, which seems rather morally dishonest if you really think vaccines are evil.

In fact, if MORE people would get their kids vaccinated (and more programs were available in developing countries where vaccines are desperately needed) then the vaccines would become UNNECESSARY for ANY child. This is why you don't hear about people getting the Small Pox vaccine anymore--it's been completely eradicated, so we don't need to give it out. Polio would be the same if small tribes in West Africa weren't so fearful (though Western medicine's history in Africa has been shady at best, so I can kind of understand).

There are some rare allergic reactions that can occur to some vaccines, some of which are neurological. That's what may have happened in the family that (conveniently) videotaped their kid before and after a vaccine. This isn't the same as autism, though it may have been diagnosed as such, since autism diagnoses can be complicated. Also, the signs of Autism tend to become apparent around the same age as certain vaccines are given out, which can tend to make it seem like they're a direct cause.

As for infants having immature immune systems, that's not really relevant, as the viruses in vaccines are DEAD and live (weakened) vaccines aren't given until the child's immune system has a chance to develop. A baby's immune system is more or less developed by the time they're 6 months, the only reason they're more likely to get colds and such is because their bodies haven't had time to encounter enough bacteria/viruses to prevent illness.

A dead virus isn't going to make you sick, although in some cases when your body is building an attack against it (because all it knows is that it's a foreign body), you may get some symptoms of being sick, but that's due to your body's response, not the virus itself.

Honestly, the biggest threat to a baby's normal development of an immune system is formula feedings. 70% of your immune system is in your gut, not your bloodstream. Formula has been shown to cause microscopic cuts along a baby's GI tract, as a result of it being much harder to digest.

 

Try just spacing them out.
My 11 month old is about to get her 6month shots next month.
I felt more comfortable with her immune system dealing with the vaccinations.

I don't do the newer shots, like chicken pox or influenza because I don't feel they are tested enough, but we get most of the others.
Not vaccinating for tetanus is kind of stupid, since herd immunity won't protect you.

 

One VERY IMPORTANT factor in this whole mess that almost NEVER get's brought up is the criteria for diagnosing autism changed at the same time as this all started.

What happened was during the 1980's there were a number of studies done that ultimately led to a broadening of diagnostic criteria for autism and Asperger's. They recognized that Autism and Asperger's covered a much wider spectrum of symptoms than was previously considered.

So almost overnight you have thousands of new kids diagnosed with autism.
Is it because of adulterants and additives in vaccines as was claimed, or simply because more kids now fell within the new diagnostic parameters for autism?

All vaccinations do come with some risks, but the potential risks of not vaccinating, for your child and others, far outweigh the risks of getting vaccinated.

We don't vax. I'd strongly recommend doing lots of research into the vaxines before letting your child get them. For me the cons outweighed the pros and for that reason I didn't vax my child, she is 100% healthy and happy and I'm very content with my decision.

Don't feel guilty for your choices, you do what's right for your child! For me it was no vaccinations at all where as for others it will be all of them, the decisions you make are for the benefit of your child, but like I said, research is good to do before any future injections, just to make sure you know you are doing the right thing

 

I've never understood this... Surely with our modern medicine, the diseases we are trying to prevent with vaccinations, can be cured anyway?

 

Oh that's right let everybody stop vac's and see what happens, I already know there are instances of certain diseases making a comeback b/c of ppl not being immunized anymore.

Would it take something major for ppl to see just how important they are like polio wiping out 1000's type thing?? Because that will if happen everybody stops.

 

vaccines are important, not because they CURE diseases, but because they teach the body to recognize and fight them itself, this way even a mutated form of the same virus can be effectively combated whenever the body comes into contact with it. (if i remember my biology correctly, its been a while) It isn't enough to wait until a young child HAS a disease and then cure it, and some of the diseases in a young child can be potentially lethal.

the MMR vaccine scare was the result of one quack academic publishing a (completely discredited) inadequate 12 patient study (without a control or factoring in environmental factors, correlation vs. causation etc) which, because it was a slow news day the media just picked up and ran with, blowing it completely out of proportion.

because responsible journalism simply isn't worth it.

You must be too young to have known any polio victims.
Some diseases come with life long crippling results.
Sure we can cure the disease, maybe, but will little Johnny ever walk again?

We aren't talking about the common cold or some shit that bed rest will make all better.

I talked to nurses and pediatricians and read lots of reports to decide that vax are not for us, not to mention our spiritual beliefs.

I know someone who developed cerebral palsy due to vaccinations, as well as people who became blind due to vaccinations and these things happened often... it took awhile before people took it as common knowledge and it will happen again with what we're going through now...it will take awhile before the whole truth comes out.

I think it is interesting to think about why these diseases are popping up again and not just accept the one idea of why it is so...

 

The thing I am so against with vaccinations is the ingredients in them. They are made up of lethal chemicals and even animal tissue. The use of mercury and aluminium is the most concerning for me, not only are both toxic to the human body but they really can be lethal if too much is absorbed and an infant will keep 70% of the aluminium that is put into their body..

The DTaP/HepB/IPV combination vaccination contains-
Aluminum Hydroxide, Aluminum Phosphate, Formaldehyde or Formalin, Glutaraldhyde, Monkey Kidney Tissue, Neomycin, 2-Phenoxyethanol, Polymyxin B, Polysorbate 80, Antibiotics, Yeast Protein.

The DTaP (different to the above DTaP which is the follow on) contains-
Aluminum Phosphate, Ammonium Sulfate, Aluminum Potassium Sulfate, Thimerosal [a vaccine preservative that is approximately 50% mercury by weight] Formaldehyde or Formalin, Glutaraldehye, 2-Phoenoxyethanol, Dimethyl-betacyclodextrin, Sodium Phosphate, Polysorbate 80.

If you child catches a disease and dies or has other serious problems because you didn't get him vaccinated, then you as a parent are at fault. I don't care about your "personal opinion" on vaccines, if your child catches something you have no one to blame but yourselves. It's child neglect.

Hives < Polio, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, etc.

 

She is happy and healthy b/c everyone has been immunized, heard protction..... She should be thanking everyone else for keeping her child safe.

You know when traveling to some countries you need to get your immunization shots again. To help your system b/c deadly diseases we think are gone still exist in poorer countries.

We take shit like this for granted.

They are trying to get funding to give out vax's to children who cant afford them just to give them a fighting chance at life......

 

Herd immunization doesn't work if a large enough part of the herd thinks that way.
