Sorry guys. Female nudist reply, ONLY. PLEASE.

I have a simlpe question; What do you get out of the nudist/naturist lifestyle? I'm fascinated by a woman's perspective.

    Just the ladies.

I guess I told this in other threads already, but I try it again. First, I wouldn’t label me as a true nudist, as I don’t strive to live naked anytime and anywhere. For me it’s ok that there are situations or people you better meet clothed. I don’t suffer to put on rags for work, shopping, certain social events etc. or simply when it’s cold.

Anyway, what do I get out ..

    - I just feel ok
    - wonderful liberating feeling
    - being one with nature
    - it’s sensual!
    - it’s easy-going and handy
    - sometimes it makes me feel a bit proud
    - maybe it gives me a certain “bold / cheeky reputation” I do like
    - I can show others that there is no need to hide their body or t0 be ashamed of it

Ok, now Mr Fixit, you can tell about you ;-)

Certainly. What I get out of it? The freedom it brings. Not to be encumbered by clothing. We are the only speies on the planet that covers our bodies. Why?

The abundance of vitamin D being absorbed by my entire body. While outside, the sun's radient heat being felt all over, the rush of the wind as it flows. Inside, I think nothing of it. I'm so comfortable being naked it's difficult to express. It's so....."natural".

Sorry fashion industry. I feel PJ'a are a TOTAL waist. Who's going to see you and if it's chilly, crank up the heat. And if others are comfortable, cover up with a blanket.

What I get from it is varied. All beneficial. Thanks for sharing.

    Loveromance,

Enjoy all you can. Start by sleeping naked. Next take your time dressing, perhaps all day if it works for you. Next, nude sunbathing and/or skinny-dipping. After that, social nudity. I would recommend a naturist/nudist club or retreat as the allow you to be as dressed as you like just to warm-up to the idea. Once you get comfortable with that try a nude beach. Not as restrictive but the sea is quite nice. After a while you'll be hooked. I'm sure your friends told you this. and you could make an outing with them at these venues. Good luck and much success.

I honestly feel like there's nothing to really "gain" from it, it's just more that I grew up like this so this feels normal to me. That being said, I do love the liberating feeling of being completely nude, and sleeping nude is one of my favorite things. Also, I save a lot on doing laundry since I only have to do a couple loads a month. I'll admit, being nude just plain makes me feel sexy sometimes and I love it. I hope that answered your question.

It's normal to me too, it would feel strange now to wear clothes at home.

I've been a nudist for 11 years and it's just who I am now. The person without clothes is the person I am.

If I had to explain what I liked about it, I'd say it was just comfortable, more relaxing, helps me feel more in touch with myself, breaks down barriers with other people, saves laundry, makes deciding what to wear easier, is good for my skin, helps me get a nice even tan, and makes me feel happier with the body I have rather than wanting to change it to fit into clothes.

Me O my, aren't there a lot of female nudists on the Internet, and aren't there hardly any in real life. I do wonder how that mismatch happens.

I don't really consider it a "lifestyle". It's just something I do at home or in special situations.

What do I "get" out of it? Hmmm. Well, to me, it's a celebration of the beauty of the human body. The human body is glorious, as beautiful and perfect as any sight in nature.

It's also an expression of love. By refusing to hide my body from you, I am less inclined to hide my emotions from you.

I get what you're implying, but I don't worry about such things. Life is wayyyyy too short to occupy too many brain cells with such trivia :)

There are 6 replies from women in this thread, which was started in March.

According to the site statistics, Hip Forums has 254,376 members.

So we can gather from this that of those 254,376, only 6 active members are female and discussing nudism.

I get what you are saying but I don't think this thread or this forum is a particularly good example of the point you are trying to make.
