I think this is very close to the truth, but this movie is a bunch of sensationalist crap. The idea makes a lot of sense though. Putting good energy into the world can only result in receiving good energy in return in some form or fashion.

 

This is pretty interesting, going to watch more of it.

The other day, I was talking to a friend about the law of attraction.... He said "Lets find a muthafucking wallet!" We found a wallet at the end of the day with 84 dollars in it...

 

I believe in the Law of Attraction and your brain giving off frequency's and all, but this video isn't 100% accurate. It may work more or less here for us, living in a 1st world country... we have the opportunity to get what we want with positive thinking. But how is this supposed to work for some person living in the 3rd world? They simply don't have the opportunities there, they can't just be sitting there thinking how badly they want to be millionaires... Because that is highly unlikely, sure its not impossible... but, in the video they kept on saying how easy it was, and how anyone can do it, and how you just have to have positive thoughts and feelings... well, it clearly doesn't work for anyone.

But, regardless of that... I think it's a pretty good video, and it's pretty correct when it comes to our society.

 

It works for everyone everywhere. Unless you believe in fate.....

Someone in Africa could wish for a stack of a trillion dollars, somewhere in there life if they are still as dedicated to that thought ( as in thinking about it all the time) then they will either See the money or own it.....

 

I think i'm a little skeptical, maybe once i give this a try for myself and realize it works i'd be able to believe in it much, much more.

But i do believe in a lot of it, just not 100% there are just a few details i'm unsure of.

 

At first i thought someone was trying to sell me something or it was scientology....somethings not right anyway. I'll take my law of attraction somewhere else thanks.

 

I don't think it works like that.

I don't know a lot about the secret specifically, but I've always believed in the power of positive thinking.

I was raised a Christian, and we were always taught that prayer doesn't deal in specifics. You could pray for a specific thing, but God doesn't guarantee anything. Instead, by simply praying you become stronger and better able to deal with what life throws you.

So I always prayed for happiness, and I've always found a lot of happiness in life.

I'm not a Christian anymore, but I do think thats one thing my old church got right.

Positive thinking doesn't prevent bad things from happening to you, and it doesn't mean that you'll get everything you wish for. Its simply a way of developing a positive mindset so that you can keep a good attitude during both the best of life and the worst of life.

I saw this film not to long after it came out several years back, (2006 I believe) and figured I would give the concept a shot. Every morning I would sit for awhile and write in my journal as was my norm at the time, part of that morning ritual was spent dwelling on my "new goal" which was nothing fantastic.

I figured what I would shoot for was $30,000 saved up that I never needed to touch. What that means is everything else is taken care of, bills, food, housing, transportation, etc. etc. I mean if I have $30K that I don't need to use for anything, I'm doing pretty good otherwise, right? I dwelled on it, envisioned what that would be like, tried to manifest that life for 2 years or there abouts. Somewhere around here I still have that journal and on every page there's something about $30,000 up in the corner of the page with highlights, underlines, exclamation marks, whatever...

Not to shoot any body's ideals down, but little did I know at the time something else was manifesting something quite different for my future. I'm mostly disabled now, on SSDI, have a small monthly coming in that barely covers bills/food/basics. I have a flood damaged home since February 2010 with no heat or hot water. There's no money in the bank and no way to put any there... If I had $30K I could repair my home and maybe sell it for $25K.


Oh, By the way. If you've seen The Secret I'm sure you recognize this guy.




It's not working out so well for him either right now.

Now, before everybody gives me a -rep, I'm not saying this can't work, but there's no guarantee to it, it won't work for everybody, and if it's not working for you don't believe the "New Age Gurus" that are telling you that "It's all your fault, you just aren't trying hard enough!" It's much easier for an author of a million dollar best seller to do this than it is for some homeless guy that doesn't have a pot to piss in... There are other "forces" or something at work in this world that are not taken into account with such a simplistic view of the "law of attraction".

Expecting something nearly paranormal to our original way of thinking to just sweep us out of our seats and into paradise is illogical. We cant just stop living so we can start dreaming, that would put us all in a coma. :sultan:

But I have seen this work more than once the first week after learning of it. It does not work for everyone right away.

Just try, try, try again.

the power of attraction is a very real thing, i read the book the secret and the power and watched the movie twice... I visualize what I want everyday, and believe me its been working for me. Its so amazing. You have to show gratitude and love as well, this is not meant to be greedy with but i cant explain it the universe has been showing me the correct direction to help materialize my thoughts, this works for everyone 100% its no coincidence. ive been thinking about wealth right now so i can use it to better myself and the world around me, its no coincidence ive been finding money on the ground constantly and being led to two stocks which have been big winners... see for yourself, atrn and sndy the only two stocks ive ever looked at, seemed to just appear for me and they are/have gone up ten thousands of percent. THIS WORKS.. everyone needs to go out and read these books, theyre free online and so is the movie. its like a simple mediation you can do when doing everything in life or walking to places just visualize/fantasize what you want in your future until it become more and more detailed and more of a reality.

 

It's dizzying how much I hate The Secret. Obviously it's not a secret, positive thinking/law of attraction books have been around for a long time, and a lot of unhappy grandma types read them. It's just delusional. Anything that happens to you, is because of your own thoughts? Next time you're playing baseball and get whacked in the nose, tell yourself to be more positive, it won't happen again! Shit happens. You cannot take the valleys away from the hills. im always happy, no matter what. the law of attraction is a big secret thats been kept from us though by those with control over us. i think its best we all learnt it for ourselves.
