I always thought they would go after people selling and leave buyers alone, but this story might prove that wrong: Bath Salts Delivery Leads To Arrest http://www.wlwt.com/news/30527981/detail.html Sure it was bath salts, and I kind of hope he was getting a pound or something beyond personal use....but still....it's a little scary. I always thought they'd go after the vendors first. Maybe the vendor was out of the country or somewhere where it's legal, so they couldn't get them. Maybe they knew this guy was dealing so they were watching him. I guess as long as you only get stuff that's legal in your area, there's nothing to worry about.
I'm from the area and would bet money he was being watched. The kid was no real dealer but dabbled in heroin. There was a girl who lived here named Deanna he is said to have given heroin that she OD'ed on. No doubt word got to people in charge who started watching him.
that guys eyes are messed up, think its from the drugs? lol i would think he was dealing due to the "package" he picked up at the post office, im sure his name was hot.
Hmm...not much info. I wonder how much "Bath Salt" he was receiving and what made the pack suspicious in the first place? $10,000 is a decent number...for a 19 year old and some "Bath Salts" maybe they did have something else on him. ehh...I hope the best
How was did anyone find out what it was? I thought that sort of thing was shipped discretely. But yes its not the smartest idea to order something off the internet that is illegal in your state.
There's some more info now (same link). It makes me feel much better about it. They say in the article that a cop was his buyer. So, probably an undercover cop setup the buy, and he told him it was coming in the mail soon. Same old story. Sell to someone you don't really know, and you are going to get busted eventually.
They're all watched. There's no marketplace site that the gov't isn't already well aware of and plugged into.
He ordered 6 packets of the bath salts which may have been a good enough of an amount to get him busted, but what confuses me is how they found out. Packages go through the mail all the time without being detected like 2c-e and other synthetic drugs, so this case makes me nervous when it comes to buying online. However, 2c-e is technically a research chemical and is not regulated in America just yet, but it's time will come because the American Government hates mind expanding substances.
The so called "Bath-Salt" is Mephedrone, also known as 4-methylmethcathinone is a synthetic stimulant drug of the amphetamine and cathinone classes. Many people died usin' that shit. We're not talkin about herb here....... So I'd say $10.000 isn't even enough.
Had a girlfriend that had a terrible night of anxiety and sleeplessness, total loss of control, and paranoia as a result of doing some mephedrone. I would never touch that nonsense.
