A hippie in a square's life

Hi there from small city MO. Yep they call our spread out 10,000 member town a city. Even though its smaller than where I grew up, I still feel crowded. I get told my hobbies will make me old before my time, I get called odd, out of touch and a tree hugger. So here I am. I enjoy anything that I can do with my hands and end up with a usable product. I look forward to learning and sharing with you all.

 

I can relate. We live in a town about a fifth the size of yours where I'm the token hippie and no one's quite sure what to make of my wife. The old lady and I are accepted just fine, but there are darn few about who can relate to us meaningfully.
