Is his "extreme hate" your feeling a hate towards others or towards yourself? I would suggest just dedicating an hour each day for just going on a walk or something else that is calming. I had experienced something alot like this before and I discovered that doing something physically peaceful, in my case longboarding, helped me find inner peace and happiness.

The hate is mostly towards myself... I don't know where its coming from either... I've always had a low self confidence though.

Can you think of anything that may have triggered these feelings?

I don't know... what comes to mind is the absence of friends... and feeling alone in the world...

I would recommend spending time with family in that case. Plan something fun for this upcoming weekend. It can be something as simple as going out to eat or going for a walk in a park. It will give you something to look forward too and possibly eliminate the feelings of hatred. And always remember you are never alone!

    You need like minded friends...

Also this is normal for your age, it usually passes. Try channeling it into art, music, writing, something like that.

    No, its not normal.

Its an indication Sky97 needs to see a mental health professional.

It doesn't take a shrink to determine that a person needs help when they hate themselves for no apparent reason. This would be especially true in children and teens who suffer from loneliness, which leads to anxiety, which leads to depression. Which is a debilitating mental condition that often worsens as we age, if its not treated medically.

So, its better to treat psychological and physiological issues as soon as they arise rather then wait.

I thought every teen goes through a depressed stage in life, I know I did and got myself out of it.

I think it depends how kind it goes on for and other signs.

Not every teen goes through a depressive stage, but depression is far more prevalent in females.

Depression is one of the warning sign of a possibly serious medical condition. Depression also has unique manifestations depending on the individual. You were lucky, many others are not. The degree of which a person suffers from anxiety/depression can only be determined by a mental health professional, and not by the individual.
