A sub-group of anonymous called LulzSec took a big hit this morning. LulzSec was a STRONG asset for anonymous. I wonder how their counterparts will react. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/03/06/hacking-group-lulzsec-swept-up-by-law-enforcement/ http://rt.com/news/lulzsec-hacking-brought-down-977/ http://gizmodo.com/5890825/lulzsec-leader-betrays-all-of-anonymous
Thats like saying you chopped off the head of the headless horseman. hey,,, theres another Icon they could use instead of Guy! Would be a bit more fitting being headless and all? Still a dark shadowy figure to strike fear in the minds of the wicked in a quest for justice.
I'm all for we are anonymous. Just shedding some light on current Anonymous activity since no else does
These 'computer activists' put up a tough front and obviously wield a powerful sword, but I've always had my doubts if any of these people individually could take the heat when the chips are down...we're talkin' feds here, this aint a game. ..legion my ass.
That's perfect! LOL i have my guy fawkes mask and everything B] The guy who snitched was like 27, kids, normal person but he was charged with a lot of shit. Lives in brooklyn of all places
Internet revolutionaires make Baby Che Guevara cry. There's good reasons why things were done they way they were done in the past. The Internet won't cause or fuel social change and it sure as hell can't be trusted. But the geeks are just going to have to learn things the hard way.
They're not geeks. They take down government sites, giving it more exposure. holding the collective, of fed up people, together under one name. Which is why you see guy fawkes masks EVERYWHERE. In occupy, PIPA, ACTA, all the protests had their collective of Anons. I bet you in may during the g8 summit in maryland and the NATO hearings in chicago the streets will be filled with people and the infamous guy fawkes mask. (Part of the reason why the G8 Summit was moved was because mass amounts of protestors we're heading to chicago)
Destruction of virtual property is at best only annoying. Real data is kept on independant systems away from the Internet. Their little "success" isn't a hill of beans. sky masks or Guy Fawkes unless you're personally out on the frontlines. You're not doing anything. Sooner or later you'll learn the hard way.
Destruction of virtual property is their only safe way of gaining media attention. By the way, they do more than that.. They d0x people: (d0x: Personal information about people on the Internet, often including real name, known aliases, address, phone number, SSN, credit card number, etc) This was their response to the Arrests: (They shut down newyorkironworks.com - Law enforcement supply retailer) http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:A4xBUhCk7RoJ:www.newyorkironworks.com/+&cd=1&hl=nl&ct=clnk&gl=nl
The worst thing about annonymous is that it makes people believe that they're actually doing something to fight the system. When in reality all they're doing is sitting on their asses contributing nothing. At best they're only annoying to the "system" I don't care who or what you think you are. If you're not willing to step up to the plate and get in the game. You're doing fucking next to nothing. But please continue to believe as you do. Sooner or later people like you will start getting your asses kicked by the "system's" overlords/police. Perhaps when they shove those fucking keyboards up your asses then you finally learn something. SOPA was defeated by GOOGLE and Facebook. The fucking nerds had nothing to do with it except to do as Google told them to do. And quite frankly the nerds are the worst offenders of free speech. They censor everyone and anyone that doesn't kiss their virtual asses.
Anonymous doesn't do shit, everyone just wanted to look super handsome https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoMLqQoDAtY"]ACTA Demonstration in Stockholm, Sweden | 4th February 2012 - YouTube

I love it when geeks quote from my backyard. It's already been in the news that many protesting got paid by at least google. It's like that today with almost all the succesful protest movements. But you don't see those clips showing up on google owned youtube. It goes against the geek set of community standards. I really want you to believe that these little games of make believe are doing something. Because the longer you live in denile and refuse to leave your comfy office chair the harder the bitch slap will be. Ultimately creating more people that will fight. So here's hoping that the shit hits the fan and hits it real good. Because only then will you learn.
