Balboa park. I don't know how they run things there now, I last played there in '98. You are assigned an area usually of your preference, first come first serve (on the 'Prado' is best) I played there almost everyday for 2 months, (November and December) to what seemed a very international crowd.. I made 50-100 bucks a day playing only 2-3 hours!(played Marimba, mostly Zappa arrangements) If you are good, be prepared to entertain crowds of 100 or more at a time, I had crowds that would block the entire Prado!
