I've yet to meet another vegan that likes soy bacon as much as I do. Anyone else like it?? I've been hooked on BLT'S lately. I just toast up some bread, add some soynaise, and smart bacon, lettuce, tomato....delicious!!! I should have taken a picture of my last one to share but I ate it already..

Ehh I was gonna mention also that I'm not big on mock meats. A BLT seemed like a fun thing to make though and I feel like I don't always get enough protein (not because it's not possible for a vegan to do that but just because I'm a poor eater in general sometimes..I have problems with eating). I prefer tofu any day but sometimes I eat soy burgers or soy bacon. I can definitely resist bacon.

Never had soy bacon [expensive] but used to fry tofu with soy sauce, little mirin, tiny bit of chile powder to get the same effect. You have to fry it forever. Good though . . .

Now there's something I do love. Eggplant. My favorite dish is eggplant & tofu in basil.
