    Wish me luck. :2thumbsup:
It's the Black Keys, though, so it's not so bad (Arctic Monkeys opening). If I had gone to the Rise Against concert last month with the same headache, I probably would have been carried out on a stretcher... especially with the two bullshit fuckin screamo bands that opened for them.

Not my kind of music but I know they’re playing down at the TD Bank Garden.

I guess your migraines aren't as bad as mine...I wouldn't be able to go anywhere!

Cool! I wouldn't mind seeing the Black Keys. Not a huge fan, but I like some of their music. Have fun!

Nah, I've had it since last night, so it's a little less now, but still making me feel kind of woozy. I'm on Aleve to take the edge off, and that's really all it's doing: making me functional, but I've been sitting on these tickets since Christmas, so there's no way I'm missing it.

Good luck! I know what you mean, I went to see Slayer a few years ago with a headache. Oddly enough, by the time they started their show, it was gone. Hopefully the same happens for you.

I find Excedrin to be the most helpful for my migraines. I never go anywhere without them!

Have fun... I saw the Black Keys a long time ago when they were on tour with Beck and they were good.

It is way different than just a really intense headache... I don't even really get a 'headache' so much as just the aura, complete loss of equilibrium and intense nausea.

Usually migranes have a specific area or areas where the pain is...different from just an all-over (hang-over) type headache. There some meds out there now that work ok, if you take them in time.
With migranes, I think that has a lot to do with "licking it" - taking the meds before the pain sets in. I haven't had a lot of migranes, but a few - and a friend of mine had them a lot growing up.
She took excedrin powders out the butt.

    Good luck...

I remember having a bad headache, which was probably a migrane, at a NASCAR race. That is not an ideal thing to try - going to the race with a headache. Duh, huh... I felt like ----- had set up in my head. :(

Since that was years ago, apparently, I made it :p - but do have some over the counter meds to take, if nothing else.

I took Aleve and it worked well enough. I still felt sick going in, but once it started, I got so worked up, it just kind of faded into background noise. I screamed and jumped around and freaked out and did what I call "dancing" and by the end of the night I was exhausted, but I was okay. It was a helluva show. :)
Wish I could have gotten closer, but I don't think I would have been satisfied until I was looking up Dan's nose (or his pants, you know, whatever ;)). There were a lot of people blowing smoke down on the floor, too, lol. I mean clouds of it. I wouldn't be surprised if the band was stoned off their ass by the end of the show. They did say they didn't know what took them so long to get to Portland and that they were definitely coming back :D

Really glad that the meds kicked in enough for you to enjoy it. Getting tickets so far ahead is always a risk and it would be horrid to have to miss a concert you were looking forward to. :)
