Anybody ever have "vegetarian nightmares" in which you eat meat and then spend the dream fretting about it? Maybe my mind is just torturing me. I have been meat free for about 5 years now and every once in a while I have a dream where I accidentally eat meat then I either wake up freaked out about it or I have an overwhelming guilt until I wake up. In these dreams I never crave or enjoy eating the meat. Just wondering if anybody else experiences this.

I've never had dreams like that, but when I was on probation I had dreams that I smoked weed. I would regret it badly in the dream. Tomato - tomato.

oooooooh yes! when i most recently became a vegetarian (for my 3rd, and permanent go-round) I started having dreams about 3 months in. My dreams would be about eating stuff like Cracker Barrel's Sunday Style Chicken. In my dream I enjoyed it so much, but hated myself for what I'd done. When I woke up, I would think it was real until becoming fully awake. The guilt was unbearable luckily it was just a dream, and a dream I haven't had in over a year :cheers2: (knock on wood)

A few times when I was vegan I had nightmares about my mom trying to force me to eat pizza since she was worried about me not getting enouth protein and calcium. :( Do those count? (I stopped being vegan cuz it was too hard by the way but I should try it again someday though. plus we aren't very rich so we can't go to the grossary store very often...)
