Whatever happened to supplying grave sites for unknown soldiers? These remains aren't garbage.

Gotta look at it as a rare bit of honesty from the powers that be. Frankly after processing all I've seen and heard in my time I've concluded that we're probably looked upon more as livestock to the corporate puppet masters and the legislative bitches whose agenda they write and campaigns they finance. Any time a politician- particularly at the federal level- lays any claim to giving the slightest fuck about us I immediately know that he or she is lying and I can disregard whatever else is being said because the person is attempting to put a spin on something they rightly assume I will not particularly like if fed to me straight.

We are all disposable to them. They can fucking throw me in a dumpster when I'm finished for all I care... just don't charge my estate or surviving family for the "service". I know they think of me as an expendable piece of garbage which is fair turnabout because I look at government officials and their corporate overlords as unmitigated pieces of fascist shit.

 

I mean, don't get me wrong. This is sad, these remains deserve better, the remaining family members deserve better, but it's not likely we will return to the days were no man was left behind, proper internment happens, monuments are built, etc. They just don't care any more. Look how well they treat the living members of the service once they come back...

 

This is a national disgrace and beyond unacceptable . They die fighting their fucking war for profit because of the propaganda they spin . and this is how their treated after giving those bastards their life .

We can fly the flags at half mast for a pop star , and yet the nobody veterans who they claim to care so much for , are disguarded in a fucking dumpster like trash .

It gets better and better every day . All that's missing now is those Westboro baptist fruitcakes showing up at the landfill for a hate protest .

There is no hope for this country . Is nothing sacred anymore ? w.t.f

 

It is sad. I think it should be pursued... but not in the isolating manner that enables them to cover up with a disingenuous and deceitful "oopsie" brand of bull-shittery engineered to placate and mollify a public they think no more highly of than they would a herd of nuisance feral dogs. Call it out as a symptom of the contempt that has enabled them to stand idly by while the economy was being looted by all manner of corporate/government skullduggery - from an artificial housing bubble purposefully inflated to make quick cash and dispose of mortgagees to petroleum manipulation through the purposeful maintenance of the instability in the region that a large portion of it comes from while empty words about dependence on foreign oil are publicly tossed about to manipulate and pacify the people ultimately getting fucked.

The fact that the criminal syndicate would irresponsibly toss into a dump human remains that deserve some dignity and respect shows that they have such contempt for us that they aren't even going to much effort to hide it.

Every citizen needs to see shit like this and told exactly the kind of warped sense of values and ethics that enables it to happen. They need to fully comprehend just how little regard their government has for them and the complete lack of concern it holds for how its policies are affecting all of us.

they did everything possible to identify any leftover remains....with all the shit that 911 caused i dont feel this is such a big deal.... ..throw my ashes in the landfill too...i dont want my kids burdened with having to visit a fucking urn somewhere to leave flowers etc........once someone is dead it doesnt matter anymore

For all the propaganda tripe they've worked up over 9/11 and its justification for moving the country ever closer to a police state they'd better treat any remains recovered as sacred relics and pile them into a solid gold crypt that gets kissed hourly by the head of Homeland Security whose position wouldn't have been promoted as so necessary without their sacrifice.

 

A couple of things, and I'm not picking on your post in particular, papa wolf, it just fits the sentiment.

It's not highlighted in the OP, but this practice ended in 2008, this type of remains are now buried at sea.

I personally don't care if my remains are dumped in a landfill either, but personal preference doesn't really matter at all when the families of the victims think the remains were disposed of in a respectful manner.

"With all the shit that 911 caused"....exactly. 9/11 caused a lot of shit, and most of it was able to happen because of propoganda shoved down everyone's throat for years by government officials. Just empty words, especially when tears were shed on national tv by officials who didn't even give enough of a shit behind closed curtains to dispose of the remains properly.

 

Remember my friends, what happens to your body after your last breath is not about you; that's when it ceases to be about you. Funerals, burial, all rights surrounding death are for those who remain after you are gone.

 

The bastards at least waited until the deceased were ashes. Wait 'till they dispense with all formality and fling whole bodies into dumps. It's happened in civilian life--why not the military?Hope they don't find out that that would be a money saver.
