Alot of people love to trip in nature. I would love to do it, I tripped on shrooms in nature but then I started having a bad trip as cars started passing me by and I felt like everyone was onto me. I ran back home and barely made it, it felt like I almost had a heart attack, I collapsed at my doorstep. What is a healthy dose for tripping in nature and any other safety tips in general? I'm thinking of getting some shades and just laying on the grass and pretending to read a book for the whole trip, hopefully no one comes upto me.
if cars are driving by, you're not in nature yet. i recommend going really far out into a forest where very few people often go, up a mountain is pretty sweet. i've also had some good trips on the backsides of lakes, or hiking out to a river.
Tripping in nature is great, if you can deal with the extra stimulation. Last time I tripped I ended up walking my dog, and my neighbor started talking to me. I think she had no idea her face was morphing lol. All you have to do is relax.
Being outside is not the same as being immersed in nature. When I trip in nature I'm at least a couple miles into the nearby land preserve at night with a fire when I know that no one else is there.
If I'm camping or somewhere not on a time schedule I prefer heavy doses of psychedelics. Shrooms: 3.5 grams + LSD: 200 ugs + San Pedro: 2 ft+ Having a sober sitter or a fellow tripping friend can help. Scope out the general area you want to trip at, pick a designated chill spot if you don't have a tent, in case things get a bit overwhelming. Make sure the area doesn't have any curfews or things like that and have Access to water I don't know the area you were at obviously but cars continuously passing by doesn't make me visualize like a nature trip, so I guess if possible search for a more secluded area.
yeah, like others have said...you weren't in nature. i've taken a hefty dose while camping in a secluded spot.
I hear you guys. I want to trip in the city and we do have some nature trails. Just tired of tripping in a house.
It depends on how comfortable with the spot you're at. If its a secluded spot in the woods or maybe a watering whole, on a hill, or maybe even your own back yard. Somewhere where you feel safe then it is usually a great experience. If you in area that is open to unwanted company, or in an area too close to cars and traffic, then maybe it is not the right spot. If you have to look over your shoulder the whole time, its not that ideal of a location. You want to find a area open enough to where you can wander around, do you thing, maybe even barf if you have to, but have it alienated enough where you can sit and go in and not be bothered. On lower doses you might be able to deal with society better and you can try exploring more places. A nice spot is something like your local woods, because you can find a quiet spot with pretty trees and you far away but not too far away where you can't run back to you home if things are getting too psychedelic.
I remember tripping in my backyard once, it was nice until my neighbors came out. I am going to have to devise a plan to angle my chair in such a way that I am not seen by anyone or any window :afro:
tripping in the city quickly becomes a jungle for me. i took some LSD on a first friday once (art galleries open to public, free, lots of people walking around the art district) - i had a blast, i just acted a little crazy. i wasn't doing anything too out of the ordinary (the art made me laugh a lot) and talking to people was really weird, but it was the most fun i've ever had while tripping. it's just a matter of incorporating your surroundings and being able to perceive them non-threatening but if you want to TRIP IN NATURE - find a nice chunk of forest
I've only been with Lucy in nature once and it was bloomin AMAZING. When you see people approaching it's scary at first but is hilarious because of the awkwardness. During that trip, my mate was wearing a Prince Charles mask and kept running to different trees and corn fields and popping his head up. A couple of 'normals' witnessed this and we were in tears of laughter. Although I do feel a bit scummy if someone's with their young kids and they see us, and I reckon having to deal with hoodlums (yes where I'm from you even get them on country walking trails) could be unpleasant.
I dropped acid a little while ago, but it had been blizzarding so I didnt really want to leave the house. I looked outside though and everything looked amazing, I wanted to go out so bad. I love mushroom trips out in nature, like right out in the bush is the best, I usually put on my teashade and stare at leaves, grass, the sky for hours. My teashades give everything a purple hue so it adds to the effect. I find I can control myself more when im having a trip outside opposed to inside, unless of course I was hit with a streak of paranoia like you describe.
so....GO OUTSIDE! i don't understand how people let the weather stop them from enjoying there trip outside, even if just for a short time. rain and snow is something that normal people give a fuck about. once i'm on acid, all that goes out the window. oh it's a blizzard outside? i guess i'll strap on some boots and go out
Haha id like to agree with you but it was 6:30, it was startin to get dark out. Even though everything looked crazy outside, things were waayy crazier inside. I dont know if youv been to Saskatchewan lately either, but cold is an understatement.
i was up near there, but it was june i live near the great lakes in ny state. we get a lot of snow in the winter (except this weird one) and the daytime high can be ~20 or 10 degrees F it's probably colder there though. i would have warmer gear if i lived there
"In nature" doesn't mean there's some trees around you in the middle of a city In nature means you can yell and no one can hear you. You can smoke a joint with your eyes closed and not be paranoid someone will see or smell it. Real seclusion! Real getting back in touch with the earth mother.
What Writer said, but I'll add; try to get as far from any signs of civilization as you possibly can....preferably somewhere that can only be accessed on foot.
Go out by the henday, theres a bridge underneath the car bridge, would be great for tripping over. Also lots of fields and forrests just south of there for a walker.
Once me an a couple friends were tripping and camping in a spot we had gone to many times. We had our tents setup and a nice big fire. Far from everything and carefree. After a couple hours a helicopter kept flying around, out of no where. It definitely seemed like it was hovering over us and watching us. We were really freaking out. A half hour after that started, it started raining. We just gave up, packed our stuff, and headed back to civilization. Moral: You never know what might happen no matter where you go. I remember one other time our in Colorado: we heard what we thought (and probably were) gun shots. For a few minutes we were saying to each other, "We don't really know this area...what if a bunch of rednecks find us and start harassing us." But, we laughed it off and were fine. (We were all familiar with Deliverance.) (But normally tripping out in nature is great. I don't mean to put a damper on things at all...it just reminded me of a couple funny (now) stories and I couldn't resist sharing.)
