Imagine a party where two tall, powerful women, stand over a furry chested male. His voice rises through the towering women, as the room falls silent: “Women are selfish lovers”. Since then he has remained perfectly silent and won't tell me why he thought this and yet maybe, just maybe this is an issue that needs to be reviewed. I think the guy at the party might have had a bad relationship that colored his attitude about women. as far as women being selfish lovers , I think theres probably some of that in both men and women.

I think love like that is selfish in many ways. You want that other person, you want to have sex with that person, sounds like you want a lot out of that person. If both partners worried about themselves AND respected each others desires, they could learn a great deal about each other and about themselves. Sex should be about freeing yourself and getting to know another person in a very unique way. Most people ''lay on their back and spread their legs'' for almost everything in life. They want instant satisfaction rather than an experience, especially if it involves learning.

I don't think you can generalise about an entire gender in this way. Well, I mean you can ... but I'm not sure it's valid. Are all women selfish lovers? No, of course not. Are SOME women selfish lovers? Yes of course they are. Are all women bad drivers? No, of course not. Are SOME women bad drivers? Yes of course they are. Are all men rapists? No, of course not. Are SOME men rapists? Yes of course they are. You get the idea?
