A supposedly secure conference call between the FBI, Scotland Yard and MI5 was hacked by Anonymous and posted on the Internet. The phone call was supposed to be secure, and an email was sent with the phone # and a password. The phone call concerned a couple of people accused of hacking for Anonymous, the evidence against them and the legal strategy to be used. Here's a link to the mp3 of the phone call. http://mir.cr/1SL3XXIR http://news.yahoo.com/hackers-intercepted-fbi-scotland-yard-call-135837310.html In another bit of Anonymous news, they recently flooded the Banco do Brazil with DDoS attacks and brought down their website for at least a day.
Who thinks this is all staged BS?? This will give them exactly what they want: THE EXCUSE TO LOCK DOWN THINGS TIGHTER THAN MOLASSES!!!!!!!
I hardly think that, dude. What it implies is, everything the gov't can see, so can Anonymous. That should send a chill down the spine of these LEOs because they might have corruption exposed, or their secret deals monitored. And it might also mean that all these LEO tools used to spy on citizens can be turned around to spy on LEOs. And watch the ripple effect. Because as these LEOs get more draconian in response to Anonymous' activities, more people will take up the call and join in, becoming Anonymous activists. Best thing LEOs can do is clean up their act and realize that Anonymous is the Vox Populi and they should listen and OBEY the voice of the people...
Anonymous is most likely run by the CIA skip!!!! THOUSANDS OF PHONE CALLS MADE DAILY AND THEY HAPPEN TO GET ON A BRIDGE OF A CALL THEY ARE HAVING ABOUT THEM?? How stupid do they think we are?? Is this the call?? www.youtube.com/v/M6DfI0GBbjE (NOTHING WAS HACKED ABOUT THIS CALL,all they had to do was get the access code and the phone # to the bridge they were on) I cant get the one you posted to come up
We are legion! Although DDoS attacks are child's play i applaud the attackers for actually being able to shoot their lazers for an entire day.
Anonymous is the people. Its not 1 organization, hackers and wikileaks are the main participants. You! are anonymous.
Exactly. I can see how people think that Anonymous is fun and cool.. But in reality they will cause more damage to our freedoms than they realize and to be honest they are accomplishing nothing by doing the petty things they are doing (honestly they are small and petty.. But the consequences won't be). The govt now finally has an excuse to lock down, monitor, and censor the Internet. Thanks Anonymous.. Good job!
Exactly!!! Do you think the GOVT wouldnt be able to find these ppl IF IT WAS LEGIT?? (With all the stuff the govt can do,think about it)
i think your argument is pretty shitty. you're basically saying that nobody should stand up to the state because it will just make the state crack down harder on people standing up? so all of the people risking their lives to protest against their repressive government in syria should just go home because the government is using it as an excuse to slaughter them? fuck that. if anything, the government going further in monitoring and censoring the internet is more of a reason to stand in solidarity against them. anonymous isn't causing this to happen, they're just speeding up the process.
Man, it must suck to be a government organization right now. Anonymous is a talented group of individuals that don't really care if they get in trouble or not.
Yeah I used to think like that when I was younger. But there's other ways of looking at things. Taking down websites is not standing up to the gov't - Its causing trouble and giving the govt an excuse to control the Internet. This is the ONLY thing that Annonymous has accomplished. We're all going to pay for their PETTY games. I stress the word PETTY. If you want to really stand up to the gov't, you need to.. See? Can't finish that thought because I don't want the govt putting me on some terrorist list and following me around the Internet. Let's just say to stand up to the govt you need to do more like Syria... Not do petty things like take down govt websites and ruin the Internet for all of us. This post is memorable for me.. It's the first time ever on the Internet where I purposely had to censor myself in fear the govt was watching (and with Occupy traffic on this site, you can be sure the govt is here). (oh and as far as Syria goes, I wouldn't believe everything you see in the media. The Islamic Brotherhood and kin are Islamist terrorists and I wouldn't want them in power in any Arab countries.. They are playing the victim and acting like they are oppressed.. That's not what's going on.. Basically a minority of people are trying to overthrow a govt against the will of the people in that country.. But I applaud them for not going about it by trying to take down websites)
