My girlfriend started nuvaring on Nov 11 and previous to that she was on the pill. However she had stopped the pill for over a month before she started the nuvaring. My question is how long do we have to wait to have sex without a condom.
Also, would it be perfectly safe if i came inside her?

    Serious answers only please

If she was off the pill a whole month, then to be safe I would suggest waiting a full cycle, or I believe three weeks (nuvaring is 3 weeks on 1 her gynecologist will know better, or may say one week is when it starts becoming effective, but I personally would either not have sex or use backup for 3-4 weeks.

And no, it would not be 'perfectly safe'.. no form of birth control is 100% other than abstinence. There is still a chance that she can become pregnant.

i know its not 100% but it would be like 99.9% effective therefore there would be a veryy slimmmm chance she could get pregnant.

If you use the nuvaring what do you do for when the man cums?

It's not 99.9% lol, that would be nice though. And no, it's really not a slllliiiiimmmmm chance. My mom took the pill as directed and got pregnant, and also got pregnant on the depo shot.

I don't use the nuvaring, I'm on the regular pill because I can remember to take it everyday.

dude my ex girlfriemd was on nuvaring. at first i thought i would be able to feel it during sex buy you really cant. i think its better because it leaves out the possibility of the girl forgettin to take her pill. (which i find happens alot)

You don't really DO anything with it when the man cums. If you left it in during sex, then you just leave it in. If you took it out while having sex, then just put it back in immediately after.

I have been on the Nuvaring for a couple of years now and it is great. The pill I was on did not work well with my hormonal cycle, but this has been awesome. It bothered my boyfriend the first couple times I had it in during sex, but he got used to it and really doesn't even notice anymore.
