I'm trying not to punch my computer in the face. Stupid little shit died on me today so I plugged it up to charge it and once charged turned it on to see a blank grey screen. Africa er turning it off and on a few times taking the battery out yada yada yada it came to a grey acreen with a folder and a qustion mark bliking repeatedly. After watching a few youtube videos I was told to take the battery out and unscrew the screwss holding in the two memory sticks for ram and try them seperatly to see if either one would allow the laptop tp boot back up. The first try left me with one steady beep repeatedly and there on after that I tried every different possible position and combination with the memory sticks. Only to hear the computer beep either once or three times consecutively with no light. Or visual. Display. On the screen. And that's why I'm on this stupid andriod keyboqrd typing ths to see if anyone can tell me why the fucks my computer is doing what's is doing.

Computers beep when they fail the POST (Power On Self Test). Bad Ram or Video are common causes for POST fail beeping. Where it's a mackbook there's a good possibility that the graphics processor has gone bad. They run hot and the BGA solder cracks and fails under the chip. Find a repair shop that can evaluate it and reflow the GPU if it needs it. Don't try to fix it yourself.

Remove memory and clean the gold contacts with an eraser and then use a brush to remove the flakes of rubber and reinstall, then check each stick of memory separately.
If it's been overheated a tasty mac cook up might be in order ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztzv2OlQJuU
