So I'm about to head across the country on greyhound, which I have done a few times, but I'm concerned. I've heard some cities are getting Homeland Security checkpoints at bus stations. So far, the worst I've encountered was a baggage search in Salt Lake City a few years back, and a few months ago I was asked for my ID (which had never happened before). But now apparently some places are going to have airport-like security.
Have you seen places with security checkpoints? Is it still safe to travel by bus without ID? Should I leave the weed and alcohol behind? Here goes the last safe mode of travel... friggin DHS.
