It really is Phenominal, I don't smoke weed recreationally any more at all but if I needed it whilst pregnant I would ingest it. It kept me out of hospital in my last pregnancy! They tried to give me drugs with the most awful list of side effects but I found out that cannabis is used around the globe to combat morning sickness to great effect x

It did the world of good...

hopefully i will never need this advice but thanks for posting it....i think it prudent to say that you arent talking about putting your fetus through a bong session in a hot-box...we are talking about minimal use,no?

Yeah a tiny bit baked in a cake... Obviously any sort of smoking would be bad for a fetus but more to do with the lack of oxygen in the mothers bloodstream than any direct impact (placenta's are very clever) cannabis has been used around the world for thousands of years to assist women through pregnancy, there was a fascinating ten year study done in Jamaica on it

    Here is a link

I don't know why it says it was a thirty day study,I have read the study and she returned to see the children's development at 6 months, 3,6 and 10 years of age. It was a far more in depth study than 30 days!

It's also prudent to add, that cannabis tincture was given to women during pregnancy until the 1930s when it was made illegal, and 15 years later they developed thalidomide to cure morning sickness... Pretty fucked up.

It was not a decision I took lightly, it took a long time of studying into both the effects of cannabis on a fetus (precisely none) and the effects of the drug the doctors offered me at the time.

Cannabis was likely a far safer alernative to whatever those chemicals were that the doctors where trying to give you.

I've known people to occasionally smoke while pregnant.
It helps them with the sickness to eat.
I wouldn't advise to sit and burn it all day but i don't see anything wrong with it.

Only thing is watch out for your doctors. Some places do urine analysis and some don't.
I knew a girl that smoked her entire pregnancy for the sickness to eat a little and they only checked all that when the baby was born so she was sure to be clean that last like month but another girl went to a different doctor and they tested her the entire pregnancy. And another girl that had her baby early and she smoked and they found marijuana in her system and the babies and CPS got involved.

So its something that can be ok you just be careful.

this is good advice. i'm pretty sure that in tennessee, everyone gets drug tested when the baby is born (cuz we have so many pillheads here). if you're positive CPS will definitely be in your life for months afterward. so i'd advise everyone considering this to read up on the laws in your state.

From what Ive heard when you smoke weed while pregnant, its best not to quit because it can cause the baby to have defects. I can try and find some info to stand it or finalize that its just a rumor

I don't think exposure to cannabis would have any negative effect.

For example I have a friend and his mom smoked all through pregnancy, and he's very intelligent, played sports, all of that. For his older sister the mother stopped, and she has had all kinds of medical problems, as well as mom being miserable with morning sickness the whole time.

THC is very similar to chemicals the body naturally produces. It's just propaganda that makes people think it's harmful. You can find studies that will contradict me. But remember who funds those studies, the pharmaceutical companies who have no interest in THC since they stand to make no money on it.

But they are happy to sell you some of their meds for morning sickness. I do not remember the name of the drug but there was one prescribed during the 50's and 60's for morning sickness that causes children to be born without limbs and eyes. They do not always have the answer. How often do you see an ambulance chaser on TV telling you to sue over the latest prescription drug which turns out really fucks you up?

Pot has a long history of safe use, longer then any prescription drug in existence.
