I've recently taken up an interest in poetry, but I haven't been able to find much time to actually try and write stuff yet aside from random things that I'll jot down while in class. Since none of my friends enjoy stuff like this I'm not able to get any feedback, so I'll just post my random stuff in this thread for the time being. I'm still incredibly new at this, so feel free to criticize anything/give me pointers/whatever. You guys can be brutally honest, because you won't offend me or anything :).

Without further ado here is my first little piece:

Nuclear life with a mushroom beginning
gives way to stone death and toxic rebirth
    will They learn?

The poem itself is ok, however it tends to be a bit on the short side, so it's hard to grasp your style just from what you posted.
My poems aren't really long either(feel free to take a look at them), but I try to make them at least 4 lines of content.
I would like to see some more of your work. If you feel that short poems are your style, than dismiss what I said, but post more of them.

I think you should come up with a better 3rd line. The first one was great, 2nd meh...

that poem is how I felt a couple years ago on mushrooms. weird how poetry can grasp such abstract concepts in so few words...
