Hi, I'm new here and fairly new at meditating. Anyway I am very curious about what happen today. At first I starting seeing an eye, for some reason I think it was a female eye and then it blinked a few times! Then I starting seeing a blue/violet light, it was round with staggered edges. It started in the middle and was a bit darker in the center, then it moved around. Then in the centre of the blue circle a small deep blue diamond (or something similar) appeared. It was very clear, like I could grab it. Does anyone know if this means? If anything? Thanks.
The mind is connected to the visual centers on the finest level and as the mind settles these visions occur. There are many reasons - The Dzogchen Togel explains them the best - Heart Drops of Dharmakaya is the book. Don't expect them and they don't mean much except that you are meditation-normal, and an apt student.
if anyone has ever seen "the gift" movie the character in that movie asks the psychic "if i look into the blue diamond will i think bad thoughts?" he was sexually abused. were you sexually abused? lol jk no need to ask us really, the answer will come.
You pretty much just described symbols and colors exactly associated with the sixth chakra (third eye). I'll I have to say is that if that had been a genuine spiritual experience what you saw would have been a bit more....subtle. I didnt see it through your eyes though so I shan't downplay your vision!
Thanks for the replies. I still don't know what it means, maybe nothing. But I continue to see blueish purple colours, lights and objects in this colour (except the eye which is in black and white). The objects are always clear and not subtle (sorry Delta 9). Other colours are subtle, but this colour is always dominant and I can't help but wonder why.
I'll tell you what it means according to the only real system which gives these visions meaning - Dzogchen Togel - Blue bindu is for space element and relates to expansion or calming of awareness. Each person has all five elements in their composition so each of five main color bindus (Sanskrit) or tigles (Tibetan) will appear to vision at some time. The visual centers have a range from gross phenomenon to most subtle mental phenomenon. One is able to see to the very bottom of the mind itself. Such mental phenomenon are quality-less, and quanitity-less phenomena and so as such have no qualifiable or quantifiable meaning, similar to the nature of awareness itself. (Now to diverge a bit on the theme) Thus bindus and other meditation lights and sounds are of the essence of Buddha-nature, but only if they remain with no meaning ascribed. If one ascribes meaning to them or other phenomenon of awareness then the Buddha-nature devolves into some manifest relativism. Same as what occurs during meditation. If one meditates and allows themself to remain just as they are without touching (no weird dress, beliefs, high falutin morality, etc, no sense of superiority as based intheir great limber body and calm samadhi, and so on), then one remains in touch with essential Buddha nature in their basic life. If you go touching and adjusting everything because you ascribe meaning to the phenomena of awareness then you have diverged from basic space of reality to something now which is a semblance of reality. Thus the truest meditators look like everyone else, not like monks and gurus and wannabes. Those persons have all diverged from essential Buddha-nature. Except insofar as they are naturally monkish, guruish or wannabeish, all of which does occur. But such is not of necessity for development of Buddha-nature. One is Buddha-nature until one tries to become a Buddha. This is the teaching of Dzogchen or the Great Perfection. What little I have understood. From Longchenpa The Omniscient. There was a movie called The Rapture with Mimi Rogers which starred a blue bindu which was somehow related to someones left behind and an end of days. The left behind is sat upon same as the right, and the end of days and apocalypse occur somewhere in the world for someone every day. Don't seek them. Wish not for them. Allign yourself not with those who espouse ends of days and left and right bullocks.
Simply a physiological function of the human mind when one meditates, especially as one delves deeper into the subconscious many things will surface; let it happen with no effort towards aversion or attraction, witness/observe without question or judgment, neti neti. Ironically I’ve experienced similar to what you’ve described a ways back but it does not surprise me since we are related through the human experience i.e. similarities will likely occur.
Meditation is the key for opening the doors of mysteries to your mind. Regular yoga is perfect health, perfect control over the mind and to perfect peace with oneself, the world, nature and God. Continued meditation conditions our mind to better control emotional anxiety. Meditation works because meditation is medicine for the mind, body and soul.
