What do you call typical punk? I love Leftover Crack.. Choking Victim.. No Ca$h.. Morning Glory.. The Dumpers.. No Cops For Miles... The Infested.. Punk is Anarchy.. and Anarchy is Punk.. its pretty tough to get around it..
What about Chumbawumba? They have an anarchist/back to the land sort of vibe, and play folkie rock. I dont know them too well though...
Not a Punk band, but certainly - Revolutionary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH9IgJZCx4c"]the who my generation woodstock perfect quality - YouTube
Against Me! is really good, kind of folk anarcho punk, The World Inferno Friendship Society are considered punk, but sound nothing like it, more like punk/jazz/cabaret music. Also the Pink Floyd album Animals is very good, not exactly anarchist, more socialist but its still anti capitalism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCF2RdtLMNQ"]Against me! - Those Anarcho Punks Are Mysterious - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0XfNy5XI-A"]The World/Inferno Friendship Society - Only Anarchists Are Pretty - YouTube
Some none punk revolutionary music.. Rage Against The Machine, System Of A Down, Tom Morello, Rush, Ani DiFanco, Black Sabath, Eagles, Immortal Technique, John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Megadeth, Muse, Pantera, Queen, Supertramp, The Who.. Thats all I can come up with right now and recommend. And most good bands out there have created some good anti establishment tunes
I posted this on the RainbowGatherings DOT org site back in the summer. Check out some Casey Neill music! Here are a few tunes from youtube. * Riffraff (a campfire singalong favorite. I first heard this being played around the campfire at night during the 2003 national rainbow gathering at camp crimethinc). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMtGvTshvgk"]Casey Neill - Riff Raff - YouTube (haha.. No! He didn't drop an "n" bomb. The lyrics to that part are "tree sitters & diggers") * Anger In Motion (not "sharpening my knife". whoever put this on youtube got the title wrong) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il3uOYJkKXc"]Casey Neill - Sharpening My Knife - YouTube * Dancing On The Ruins Of Multinational Corporations (whoever put this video together did a great job. I love this tune. but the video makes it even better!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJTcoKl0aN4"]Dancing on the ruins of multinational corporations - YouTube Hope y'all enjoy these tunes as much as I do! =8^)
Just checked out Flobots, and they are completely awesome!...but not anarchist. The video I found, Rise, is filled with american flags and patriotism. FUCK AMERICA! I'll probably still listen to them though.
Dude, you just gave me 3 new favorites (the last 4 were already favs). That literally never happens.:2thumbsup:
Glad to hear that! Yes Dub fx and Lowkey are great for that kind of music! I also really like Immortal technique. And Flobots may not be anarchistic but their definatly revolutionary. I highly recommend "We are winning".
I would also like to add Lowkey and Zack De La Rouda. I'll post some videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmBnvajSfWU"]LOWKEY - TERRORIST? And I'm not a fan of rap at all. I just really enjoy what i see as good important music. And what I posted above is just that. But I will post some more great anti civilization tunes. No. The artist I posted goes by Zach De La Rouda. Not the same as the Rage Against The Machine frontman.
