The Ups Cargo Pilots union is taking legal action to be included in safer rules mandated for passenger airline pilots, but not for cargo pilots. UPS cargo pilots fly large 747 aircraft full of Ipad s, computers and goodies from the same runways as crowded passenger airplanes and is the worlds 5th largest airline, but are allowed to be twice as tired as normal jet pilots.

So the FAA is putting you at risk on the people movers so that Fedex and UPS can save a few bucks and not have to hire more pilots to meet the new rules. UPS cargo pilots and their families think it sucks. Another interesting example how you the little people do not count, and big corporations have their way with government regulating agencies that are supposed to protect John Q public.

And how corporations such as Northwes--- errr, Delta cut corners, fire all their skilled labor in the warehouse and the flight crew, hire maybe 1 or two guys from the old team back and take in the rest from whatever Home Depot lot they can find them at waitng for work to arrive, meanwhile the two old timers have to teach these guy's who barely speak english how to fix planes and Tug loaders and ETV's... Airports are such a fun place.

The only thing I miss about ORD is Payday, but they sure can keep their 126 hour work weeks. (Spent about 3 months solid doing mostly 18 hr days, 7 days a week because NWA's cargo facillity was such a clusterfuck when I got there and I was the only dude there to fix anything in the Warehouse)
