Oh shit, I think I almost died.

I've been smoking K2 lately, since it's cheap and available in three stores right near my house. Easier than getting weed sometimes, and definitely cheaper.

Anyway, I've heard about people getting heart attacks on this stuff. So I still don't know if what happened to me last night was just paranoia or if something seriously almost went wrong.

I got a jar of Dead Man Walking, rolled it up into a blunt, and seriously, I only took like 12 pulls. Was pretty high, stopped. Sat down and played a video game. Suddenly it got harder to breathe, and as I struggled to breathe, my heart beat accelerated. A lot.

So now I'm freaking out, and freaking out BECAUSE I'm freaking out. At this point, I'm convinced that if I don't calm down, I'll have a heart attack. Then there's a part of me who is afraid to calm down because I could very well just be lying down and letting myself die.

I was so scared. At no point during this did I come anywhere near tears. That's how scared I was; I knew that there was no time to cry. Either I would calm down and be fine, or go to the hospital. And I wasn't about to humiliate myself and waste my father's time and money for something that would probably pass.

When I started thinking about the hospital trip, I started to calm down. My heart beat slowed down A LOT. Slower than normal, but I figured it was better than fast. So I lied down and tried not to panic over the fact that my heartbeat was now suddenly very slow.

Did I mention that since the beginning of this, my muscles were twitching uncontrollably? That's part of what scared me. I could stay still, and my shoulders and chest felt like they were burning slightly. But as I calmed down, I only twitched every now and then in my legs and shoulders, but I wasn't shaking anymore. Not that much, anyway.

Eventually I felt fine. Just a little tense. I'd been drinking a lot of water since this "attack" started, so I kept drinking more.

Wtf? So did I almost have a heart attack, almost give myself one, or am I just a retard? Because I still have a lot of K2 left, and I'd hate to waste money, but I'd also hate to kill myself.

I've never heard of anyone having a heart attack from legal, but I know for a fact that some kinds when used in extreme excess can cause seizures. That stuff is very popular around here, and I have a friend who had a seizure after smoking more than a gram of pow to himself. Pow is a brand made by a head shop around here which is basically drenched in whichever jwh or whatever they're putting on it today. That said, I also smoke legal, since I've got court soon and I can't smoke weed. I've never tried k2 but my advice with any legal is just to keep it as minimal as possible. With the stuff I get, it only takes a hit or two to get me high, so ill take a snap from my bong and then wait an hour or two before I smoke any more.

 

I smoked a little this afternoon. Just a little. Nothing crazy happened. I guess I just have to do it in moderation, like everything else.

 

Sounds like a classic panic attack. I occasionally get them from weed, and lots of people get them from legal blends.
First time is always the scariest.

 

i thought actual "k2" had become illegal in almost all states? or is it just some? too high to do research now, but my local headshops in NJ, PA, and now GA, do not carrythe actual brand name "k2" cause it contained now banned chemicals. it was about two years ago i thought it was banned. anyway. goodnight, sorry i didnt contribute ot the thread, just asked questions.

 

People who are having a heart attack don't often realize they're having a heart attack. If you think you're having a heart attack, you're probably not having a heart attack.

 

That's fine. I read somewhere that it was being banned in some states. I guess New York isn't one of them. Not yet, anyway.

 

K2 is sketchy shit.
I found the more I smoked the more it felt like my body was gonna revolt.

i've never seen any of these legal high things in canada. we have salvia available pretty much anywhere, and stupid shit like horny goat weed and stuff, but nothing that will actually get you high.

Here in louisiana I think there have already been 3 laws passed to ban legal, but these laws only ban the common chemicals found in most of the current ones. The problem is that there are hundreds of chemicals that have yet to even go into use. I know somebody who's good friends with the person who makes pow, and he's shown me the next 15 different blends that they already have bagged up and ready to put on the shelves once they ban another set of chemicals. It a vicious cycle, and the only feasible way I could think to end it would be to just legalize weed. After all you can make potpourri or incense illegal, only the chemicals in it.

i was smoking it pretty regularly for a few months (probation). i developed a twitch under my left eye. it was annoying and weird. i stopped smoking it and it magically went away. my friend who was also smoking it stopped peeing! she had to go to the hospital and get a catheter. scary shit.

 

you know what i dont understand ? why in gods name would u smoke some herbs with some chemicals? just fckin buy hemp man lol

 

A few night's ago I passed out in the shower while it was running and I was covering the drain hole, Well needles to say the bottom of the shower soon filled up with water almost covering my air intake, this is when I came two,

Trouble breathing, high heart rate are not symptoms of a heart attack per se. If you have a severe shooting pain up your left arm or you feel like there is a massive weight on your chest, and or nausea and or your lips and complexion start going pale or blue you are having a heart attack, if not just breath in a bag and try and relax.
