this thread can be moved if the moderater wants to but i just thought you guys should know. i have my compas before me now and its doing some seriously scary shit. it started around 1:30am today (pacific time). it moved back and fourth by 10 degrees, then a while later it was 90 degrees east of pointing north, then it was 60 degrees west of north. earths magnetic field is on the fritz again. now what i read is that without the earths magnetic field we loose the atmosphere and we get blasted by radiation by the solar wind (extreme amounts). my current location is north america. any thoughts? ps. my compass needle is still moving to and from north but now its only off by 10 degrees.
if you have a compass you might want to glue it to a stationary object and follow it for the next few weeks. i think we are in the middle of a pole shift? scary stuff when you grasp the potential this may have to nuke the earth though.
i guess no ones online. im gonna go smoke a cigerette and get drunk. if you want to take observations or give your opinion then feel free.
You probably had some iron near it that was fucking with it. Maybe a belt buckle or something like that. Pole shifts take thousands of years, and aren't harmful at all, so don't worry.
Compuses dont work well inside a building. The pipelines and everything else iron or metal(i think) will move the needle. Try it outside in a nice open area.
Or you were saking a lot... Yeah but we are in the middle of a pole shift. It won't be over for awhile...a LONG while...
its a strippers rotation of turns. just like a security guard ONe stripper is 2-6 and the next is 6-12 etc... lol just kidding
yeh thats a pretty naive, egotistical thought, that since your compass is moving around, we must be in one of these pole shifts, when if we were in a pole shift, scientists would have found out about it before you and told everyone. but if your high its an understandable thoguth lol though it probably is your computer, as eddie said. and a shift would probably be a little dangerous to us actually, because of the technology that integrates with the magnetic field.
Well, it's a little dangerous for the technology, but not to us, our food, or anything. For the person who asked: a pole shift is when the magnetic field of the Earth slowly fades then switches; magnetic north becomes magnetic south, and vice versa. I did a google search on it but all I found were "alternative science" type sites, which makes me believe that this is nothing to worry about.
fuck you jointman69. my compass did shift night before last night, i was sober when i saw it was doing weird shit. i guess it could have been my computer or something but thats a bit hard to believe since i have never seen it do that before in all the time it has been by my computer.
no thanks iggy, i was only foolin when isad that i meant fucked up like high man not like screwey int he head. just chiiillax i thought we were like mooninites bro?
the fact is, that if there was a pole shift large enough for it genuinely move ignigniot's compass then we would have see 'pole shift' on every news station by now, and on the front page of the paper. the pole moves a dgree or so every howevermany years, but its rather slow.
k, if you were just foolin then we're cool. anywayz i dont really know why my compass did that. if the magnet field weakened then my computer or just about anything could make it shift, but thats my best guess. it could be broken but if thats it then i wonder why it seems to work now?
Pole shifts actually occour at pretty regular predictable intervals. Although it does happen over 10's of thousands of years. I know this cause I just took my geology final exam today!!
