How long should I be off SSRIs before dropping?

The opportunity to explore the cosmos has come up for the first time in a long time for me, mostly because I've been on Lexapro and can't really do that with acid. I'm stopping, though, and want to acid about a week afterwards. I've heard you shouldn't mix acid and SSRIs because it dulls the experience or something. So I'm wondering, will I be okay to do a tab a week after stopping an SSRI? Thanks!

 

cold turkey stoppage of a ssri probably isnt' the best of plans.
Just up the dose of acid to compensate.

I heard you could go off for just a couple a days and drop. So I think a week is enough time, my friend was gonna try it and he's on anti-depressants, so I was going to look into it, but that was months ago and he backed out of it, so I'm a little foggy on the facts

 

How long have you been taking the medication. What are you taking? What dosage? Knowing this could help, for myself and im sure other members, give a more clear and concise answer.

 

try looking up the drug's half life online - basic calculations required though lol

 

Yeah. Sorry. 10mg of Lexapro for about a month and a half.
