    Fuck Syd Barrett,

    David Gilmour FTW.

I do not have a hero that I consciously recognize I think.

I'm really trying to think....I know there is someone that I admire but I cannot recall them at this point..... hrm.

Leonardo Da Vinci is a cool dude.

Woody Allen is one of them. I do not have a single hero. John Lennon is another. So is Lenin.

i'm not much of a one for heroes.

bradly manning, julian asange, amy goodman, her news organization and all the members of it. these people are heroes though.

everyone who refuses to lie to themselves, and does so without using what they see as an excuse to become bitter and hopeless about it is a real hero. just ordinary everyday people who haven't maybe done anything big, or put their life in the way of anything, but accepted to live without what others take for granted so when that's what it takes to not lie to themselves.

they are all too numerous to list. of course people who write books and join protests are heroes too. naomi cline.

there is protest, and that is one thing, but there is also depicting what we would like to see instead. or attempting to.

people who refuse to drive a car, or use credit, or shop at off the wall mart, are taking a bite out of corporate crime, its very foundation and source of support, by doing so.

people who are homeless or unemployed, because the only employment open to them violates their consciousnesses. these are heroes too.

of course michael moore and that buffette guy.

then there are engineers, designers, and artists who you never hear about who are heroes too.

lots of people are heroes, but what someone else does isn't what matters, other then by a lot of us doing it. what each of us do. how we face what each of us are presented with. i think that's the thing. and we shouldn't become ashaimed or discouraged because we can't do it perfectly all the time. that's not the point either.

but our intentions do matter. and what we do with them is all that anyone else can see.
