Someone today was trying to tell me about a Prophet who lived before christ, who claimed the moon and sun were his eyes, and that his left eye, the moon, had been gouged out in battle and no longer shown like the sun. Also aparently jesus used many of his same teachings.

Never heard of him myself, but I wanted to look it up and I think the person telling me used the wrong name. I can't find a Harris or Harrison. Anyone ever heard of this? links to source?

    THANKS :afro:

    Hey!

I don't know about that but I have heard a few things about Jesus learning from the Essenes. Just a few things though. Here is some info you might enjoy.

Ah yes, the great Harrison. Praise our lord and savior, great is the Harrison and most worthy of praise; When we know Harrison as Lord and Savior, our hearts long to praise His name. We kneel in penitence before He whose greatness no one can fathom, have mercy on me Harrison. Praise Him!

Think about it. A pre-Christian prophet named Harrison? As in George Harrison? Are you sure you're not thinking of Harry Sun? Or maybe Hor Izon? Seriously, the only pre-Christian who comes close is Zarathustra or Zoroaster. I guess that sounds kind like Harrison. Or were you thinking of Horus, the Egyptian sun god?my hunch is you're thinking about Horus. The Zeitgeist movie (erroneoulsy) attributes christian doctrines and legends to him.

harrison is an awfully modern sounding name. christ was the 23rd return of adam. moses the 22nd, mohamid the 24th, the bab and baha'u'llah the 25th and 26th respectively. all pretty close to a thousand years appart, give or take a few hundred. which puts the history of revealed belief at around 25,000 years. which works out pretty good with those fossil remains of early 'humanity'.

my one caveat about all that, is that it doesn't really seem to have all that much to do with anything, at least not with tangible experiencing in our everyday lives.

on the other paw, there's no real reason it should ever have to.

Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita that the sun and moon are two of His eyes. He is also known as Lord Hari.

Probably it is Hari you are looking for.

He came on earth long ages prior to Jesus.

    Live with love.

BTW - The stuff in Zeitgiest about Krishna, Horus etc is complete Bs. As indeed is the entire movie.

lots and lots and lots of manifestations, channellers of the same god, lived and died before christ. 22 of them, a thousand years appart each. and that's just in the same lineage.

as for someone named harrison, no, that's an awfully modern sounding name. one that i'm pretty sure doesn't go back more then a few hundred.

When I read this thread it seems Hari comes actually the closest with the name and the mentioning of sun and moon as eyes. Perhaps he really ment that one.

What about this Simon of Peraea?
