I'm friends with this guy. We texted a few nights ago and he said, 'i miss you, it's been too long.'
We are on break for school so we haven't seen each other, and I'm confused as to what he was talking about when he said, 'it's been too long.' Did he say that because he meant that it's been too long since we have been at school, or since he has seen me?

"I miss you, it's been too long" usually means I miss you, it's been awhile since i've seen you.

Or like It's been a long time, too long of a time !! I missed ya.
