Let's be honest: The core of the Tea Party worldview is a HATRED of blacks, immigrants, homosexuals and college kids. If you are a Tea Partier you think they are lazy and don't want to work. Your whole worldview is that Democrats want to let everyone on welfare. Your whole goal for 2012 is to make sure Obama is not re-elected. You forget that Clinton left a Budget Surplus when he left office and that Bush, through two wars, tax cuts for the rich and a prescription drug program bankrupted this country. You also ignore that GW Bush had the WORST record of job growth of any President in US History. You want to dismantle Government and abolish entitlement programs but I'm guessing you'll take that Social Security check and Medicare benefits. You conveniently forget that everything from the food you eat to the roads you drive on is made safe due to Government Regulations. In short, if you are a Tea Partier you are an ignorant jackass.
I'm going to disagree with you on government regulation of food. Most of the "appointed" officials that head up the regulatory agencies are former industry insiders that contributed quite well to the coffers of our "illustrious" elected officials in return for certain..."favors". Connecting the dots should be fairly easy from here.
What a dumb thread. The person who made this thread obviously doesn't have much of a clue about anything and is still caught up in the feeble-minded left vs. right dialectic. Fuck yeah I want to dismantle the fascist government. It won't happen because too many people like the OP would prefer to remain dependent and enslaved. Left wingers are dupes. As are right wingers and anybody that's politically minded. Apparently the OP thinks the government is doing a good job working for the people's interests. In that case I am all for morons who champion their own asses getting fucked by the loving gub'ment.
Tea Party gets a lot of finianial backing from corporations that want governement dismantled and no regulation and no taxes. They especially want the EPA gone. Their intersts are just whats best financially for corporate america and not whats best for the people. This is the opposite direction we need to go. We need to get rid of the one dollar one vote mentality, corporations are not people and their influence needs to be weeded out of government. We need to spend (invest) intellegently not just throw money at problems. We need to better finance some progams so that they actually work, dump others that are just gravy progams for some people and yes we do need some things regulated.
Agreed, as long as "we" have a part in it. And therein lies the rub. By and large, most Americans don't want to actively participate in the machinations of government. End result? What we see today...a large, lumbering, self serving, corporate/governmental bureaucracy that is no longer representative of "The People".
And OWS is funded by billionaires like George Soros and the Tides Foundation. All this talk of regulations is a distraction since the regulators are bought off by the corporations they're supposed to be regulating. All the regulations do is hurt small businesses, which is what they want. If the government worked as it should, then it might be a different story.
It was not the Tea Party that had the Alt. Min. Tax repealed, it was the Pelosi Congress. Now Millionaires can get full deduction for R.E. Taxes on those McMansions. The Alt. Min. Tax was portrayed as a "Blue State Tax" due to the fact that Blue Staters pay higher R.E. Taxes than Red Staters. Now, all Real Estate taxes are fully deductable against Federal tax returns. So now OWS supporter Russel Simmons (and others) can gain full deductability on that mansion that was featured in the Reality show: Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, in tony Saddle River, New Jersey. Now Barbra Striesand can gain full deductability for that coastal compound in Malibu California. just don't walk on her beach! Bruce Springstien gains full deductability on the $130,000.00 in R.E. taxes he pays on his 3Ac Colts Neck, N.J. property. Band Mate; Max Weinberg gains a $49,000. deduction. Jon Bon Jovi is able to deduct $300.000. in property tax for his Middletown, NJ home. These Democrats have some nerve blasting working class Tea Partiers. I say bring back the Alternative Minimum Tax! Cap Federal deductions for Real Estate Taxes! :beatdeadhorse5:
