Nobody else is fact checking...... some news groups *Faux News cough cough* just make stuff up.

So if the NY times actually printed the facts wouldn't it make them look "bad". /sarcasm

 

The news media is funded by advertising based on their user ratings in the US. If the news media can entice people to watch their show, their ratings remain the same or increase. It becomes evident that the media is more interested in profits than in reporting fair, unbiased, factual information to the public when that media uses needless drama to draw in viewers, obviously biased reports, and opinion instead of facts. It is then the viewer's responsibility to avoid watching that particular media outlet. It's quite simple actually, no viewers=no news media source.

I'm sick and tired of people constantly bitching and complaining and pointing the finger at everyone and everything, except their own selves. Grow some spine and do something about it!

But the thing is, do they really know who's watching? I mean, has anyone ever asked you what you watch? The cable networks can't tell, AFAIK. Are you in one of the Neilson families? Those people are the only ones they pay attention to, isn't that right?

 

Actually.... It was over ten years ago, but Neilson contacted me about TV watching habits asking if I would fill out surveys for a month. I told them I don't own a TV and they said that didn't matter. I filled out their forms "didn't watch" sent them in and got a dollar...... They never contacted me again.
