The matrix is real!

puffed up is on the correct train of thought, on the matter of "the matrix."

my first question would be, if you asked me to develop a matrix is, what kind of matrix do you want? do you want a 'closed system matrix' or, a 'loose system matrix?'

as you can see when you get into the details of bringing "the matrix" into existence it gets very, very, very, complex very, very, very, quickly.
the movies are a fun guilty pleasure:2thumbsup: but, they only deal with the concepts of "the matrix" in the most superficial and dumb downed manner.
in both the physical and social sciences, a matrix is: an environment and/or materal in which something devolpes.
mathematics uses the term in a different way. it has something to do with an array of expressions in a row. i'm sorry, i'm no master mathematician, and it has been almost 30 years since i studied computer sicence 101 in college. i just can't recall the full defnation of the mathematical term for 'matrix' off the top of my head right now.

maybe a more simple way to discribe it is, that a matrix is a system best understood by means of cybernetics and system theory.

now, to sum up all the dribble i just vomited out above in a nut shell: the matrix movies, are way, way, over simplfied dumb down hollywood shit:ack2: when it come to the real world matrix(es)!
as someone who is educated and trained at developing and working with matrixes. real world matrixes are far, far, far more strange and awesome then anything hollywood can come up with.

Excellent descriptions of matrix's. System theory exactly! I've seen inside a couple of different matrix's of an auto company. They are using matrix's to plot and follow activities and results. And to devise direction's.
