Hi guys, My dreads are 1.5years, 2 years old in July! Wow, time flies. Here is a picture taken a few days ago, what do you think? Now, I have used Liquid knottyboy shampoo for the last 8months, I love the smell and I do feel like it cleans my hair properly. Progress has been super slow for me, I stayed away from wax, and blunting ends, so most of my dreads have up to 1.5-2cm of straight hair at the ends. All of them are flat , very thin on one side, and thick view from a different angle. Is the shampoo I am using ok? Or is it a "transfat~" and conditioning my dreads to hell? 2) does my progress look ok? 3) Is it cool that even at 1.5 years, they are flat? Cheers all!!
Fuck Knotty Boy. Any shampoo that won't leave residue is fine. Anything that locks do on their own is "okay". The tips of mine, for the most part, are not locked. Flatness, again it happens naturally due to setion shape, activity, placement. No big deal.
i use the knotty boy shampoo and i really like it :/ i only wash like once or twice a month though anything else i use leaves my hair feeling mushy
i use Dr bronner's and i love it i get it out of the health food store my dreads are going to be a year old next month
