The most widely accepted theory is that Jewish slaves built them under the direction of the Egyptians themselves. I personally think this theory is bullshit, and here's just a few examples of why. -Why are there no records of them building them when the Egyptians keep detailed records of every King they had, war they fought, or other structure they built? -How did they transport and carry such large blocks(some weighing as much as 2 tons) and doing this at a time period when they hadn't even invented the wheel yet(not sure if that's true or not about the wheel)? Even if they did have the wheel it's still extremely difficult to do using modern technology. -How did they build them to such exact measurements and alignments when, again it would be very difficult to do today with modern technology?
I believe that pyramids were built by the egyptians , whether they used slave labour or not i cannot say , but the plans for them did not come from this planet .They are to "perfect" to manmade especially with technolgy of that time .It is the same question that can be asked about stonehenge.Maybe in the next life i will find the answers peace
I think the pyramids, the Sphinx and other monuments are 10000 or more years old. There are very deep traces of water erosion on them and last time there were significant rains there is more than 10000 years ago. There is no way they could have built them within the life span of one pharao unless they put in place one stone after the other all 2 or 3 seconds day and night for many years.
http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/the-revelation-of-the-pyramids/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2_48Rli4_Y&feature=player_embedded"]Documentary The Revelation of the Pyramids 2011 - YouTube I believe the people built it. Why is this so hard to believe? I don't understand. It not like they built in 1 years, it took over 20 years, and they worked every single day.
I saw a documentary on National Geographic on this once. Some scientist (can't remember his name at the moment) wrote a book about how he thinks aliens play a role in the building of the pyramids. He also spoke about how precise the measurements of the pyramids are and how that even today will all of the technology we have it would be near impossible to get those exact measurements. I personally think some things are meant to be a mystery and the pyramids are one of those things.
At one time Egypt was surrounded by large forests.. Its easy to make log wheels. To believe we dont possess the power to reconstruct them is asinine. have you see modern structures.. how bout the 3 Gorge dam? Golden Gate bridge.. How they build the GGB is such a short period of time?.. We dont build things like this anymore, because they have no use, and no real value..
Sorry to bring up an old thread but concerning the wheel dilemma- I didn't think Egyptians discovered the wheel until after engaging in battle with the Hyksos from the lower Delta. In that same time that also inherited the Battle axe, chariot and use horse's from the Hyksos. Keep in mind this this battle was until the third intermediate period, the ending of the battle was the beginning of the New Kingdom while the pyramids were built in the Old Kingdom.
If you think the pyramids were a feat of engineering, take a good look at PUMA PUNKU in South America. Look at the way they fit the stones together, and the size of them. Flat surfaces on huge stones that we can not match today. And, if you think they used stone tools, the type of rock is second only to diamond in hardness. And, no trees to use for rollers. How did they cut an exact 1 cm square groove into the stone? I mean, exact. It doesn't vary even 1 mm in depth or width. The physical size may not be as high, but the stone masonry is second to none. More exact than any of our current "pre-cast" concrete prefabs.
um,,, i wanna know one thing, EXACT CM? um the metric system (cm,mm,liters etc.) wasnt developed till the late 1600's. so your saying the mayans invented the cm too?
I don't imagine they actually measured 1 cm with any modern means, but that's what it measured. What is remarkable, is that the width and depth do not vary even one mm from one end to the other. What ever they used for a standard, it was exact. Do a search on it.
yes ^ That. I've also wondered about them, as well as the Mayan Pyramids...however, there is no rational explanation, not that I've ever heard. Having slaves drag rocks that literally would sometimes weigh more than a ton - c'mon now. I never bought that. How did those slaves lift those rocks and everything still fit together so precise that a seed from the inside of a pyramid has been sprouted in the past - meaning in the past 30 yrs. I can't remember if it was corn or wheat. With the slaves-built-them theory, the amount of rock worn down by the friction of dragging would even have to be calculated. Levitation of these extremely heavy rocks makes more sense (to me anyway)...but HOW in the hell would they do that? Yes, I like the idea that some things are just meant to remain a mystery.
Love topics like this I like the theory that we're only just another cycle of humanity, that we've got to the stage where we've been able to complete structures like the pyramids and somehow been bitchslapped off the face of the earth - besides a small few. Evolution continues but leaves these insane feats of engineering. The few that were left behind then repopulate, but utilize what the earth has to offer in a completely different way. We can't build pyramids now, but we can send satellites into space... and destroy the planet at the same time... but hey - can't win 'em all. Hopefully 2012 isn't a big conspiracy, I think we should let someone else have a turn on the planet cos we're not doing a very good job.
