Recently I have become really, REALLY interested in my heritage so I would like to know what some of you guys think. If you had to guess my heritage, ethnicity and/or race what say you? Pice related: It's me.
Lol thank you. I'm actually from the Republic of Costa Rica but people tell me I look very Southern European (Italian and Spaniard mainly). However I just don't see it which is I was I was asking for your thoughts.
Hmm. Interesting. Your hair texture indicates that you're either Mediteranian, or have sub-Saharan African ancestry that's been mixed with another ethnicity. From your facial features, I would guess either Mediteranian or Hispanic. Possibly East-African and European. As for myself: I have a bad history with posting pictures in this forum, so I won't. But, my ancestry is: On my dad's side: 1/16th French, 15/16th black (African-Caribbean) On my mom's side: 1/4 Danish, 1/4 Native American and 1/2 German.
You should have let more people guess and not just me. ;P I have gotten the strangest comments, especially when i was in college about my ethnicity. I am mixed as well. My portuguese half comes from my mothersside from the Azores islands. I havent been able to trace how long they lived on the islands, but im guessing it goes back more than 200 years, hard to say tho. My dads side is unknown, but to the familys best knowledge the family comes from the Netherlands. Being mixed has made me feel out of place many times. People are confused who you are, what you are about, they know you are mixed, but they cant judge because they dont know where to start. For that reason i love my ethnicity.
To be honest I left Costa Rica when I was an infant and came to the United States of America which is where I live now. I have not been back since. From the research I've done though I hear it's really nice.
Yes, also. My friend had told me, before we meet in 2009, he was thinking all Russian people (and myself) were Mongols. Of course, was very surprised when we did meet! It was quite funny.
This math doesn't make any sense You're saying that you're 100% your mom and 1/8th your dad, and that your dad is only 1/8th of something and 7/8th nonexistant
By his own admission he has issues with math so I'd just let it be. I think he got across pretty well that he is of mixed heritage.
It makes perfect sense. I'm saying my parent's ethnicities, not my own (which is why I said "dad's side" and "mom's side" instead of mine.)
No need to apologise, I know it was a bit confusing since I did my parent's ancestry instead of my own.
nice shirt..i like thinner stripes though my guess for ethnic background would have been "general terrorist"...Syrian or Iranian im joking i think i see some Turk
i would have guessed italian or hispanic. i'm 3/8 croatian, 1/8 yugoslavian, 1/8 american indian, and 3/8 some mixture of various western europeans. but i really don't care, since it has absolutely nothing to do with who i am.
