So, I used to have this monster dread at the front of my hair line. Is was super chunky and a bit uncomfortable at the scalp. It has a natural separation at the root, so I started gently pulling it apart to create two locks.

This continued to a certain point until the hairs would simply not budge. So...I did it. I allowed my bf to take a razor to the monster lock and split it down the middle.

Monster lock is black on the inside and blonde on the outside. There has been no loosening of fall-out. This occurred after three years of locking though.

    So there.

Well done vig! There's no reason not to use scissors or a razor to split dreads unless you're a nazarite imo.

Monster dreadzorz are win :D Mine are mostly on the back of my head, so they aren't too uncomfortable. Must have been really bad to have one on your front hair line ><

Because it has no soul. Or I failed to bleach out the black dye...who knows.

WOW! I love your timeline and your locks! Just a quick question/s? How soon after backcombing did you dye your hair? and which bleach did you use to get it to go that light?
