I would like some book recommendations that might help me figure out who I am (self-identity). I feel as though I'm just a person in this world with no real personality or self-identity. All I can say is that I'm a human just like everyone else is and that's about it. I also get really bad panic attacks for no reason and want to learn to stop them. Philosophy, psychology, spiritual (non religious), self-help, drug inspired books and the like are ok. Please, no religious books (bible, torah, koran, etc). Thank you.
Napkin Notes on the Art of Living..... G. Michael Durst Ph.D. Not so much on figuring out "Who You are" but what makes you tick.
Write a book about yourself. A novel of your life so far. You'll be amazed at the things you find out about the main character. (YOU):sunny::daisy: Other great books for self discovery, anything by Herman Hesse 'Sidhartha(sp), 'Steppingwolf are classics. "Magic Mountain", by Thomas Mann is excellent about different characters that encompass the common human personality types brought together by TB, or something, in a asylum on a mountain.
Allan Watts "The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are." Everything by Allan Watts is really uplifting and inspirational.
