We can no longer sit idly by and allow them to destroy our rights to freely assemble anymore by destroying the 1st amendment. Soon they may take this down too as a means for us to communicate with SOPA. Our right to privacy is openly gone with drones flying over our own homes and the already well known NSA checking in on all of our calls. Finally, with the most likely passing law of the NDAA we will not even be able to gather soon.

We have to act and we have to act quickly. We all want a peaceful resolution and in my own way, I still want it too. However, we may not get that chance. I hope I am wrong, but there is only one answer if all of these things fall into place. Everyone here whom has an account will be rounded up and thrown into military prisons. We will be considered war criminals or terrorists. We will never be released and the United States of America will be the United States of Corporate America.

I want to know and this has to be done quickly, who believes this may happen? Who believes we can continue acting peacefully for our points to be heard? I want to know because there may come a time, very soon I want to add, where we will not even be allowed to do so. I want to know people's honest opinions. If one answer is strongly countered compared to the other than we know where this is going. Either way, we can't rely on disjointed movements anymore. We have to all be together on this or else we won't accomplish anything. If they already destroy our ability to assemble physically we need to make this assembling of virtually count.

I think the OWS model is the best thing I've seen for getting people to act on the same or similier level. The movement is still in its infancy and will hopefully keep growing and have a 'chapter' in every town yet still be connected to a main national organization. Hopefully as more people realize that this may be the only way to get their voices and desperation heard.

OWS needs to somehow become the peoples voice in Washington that counters the corp. and military industrial complex that controls our elected lobbyist/career politicians.

A political party of the 99% needs to develop. The workers are being attacked on all fronts yet we are the 99% who's will should be advanced in Washington.

The plan should be to get OWS in all towns and cities making their voices heard.

I think militias would be used by the govt. and press as negative propaganda. We don't want to give any reason for the 1% and their agencies to make us look illegitimate and I think the connotations of militias would turn people off.

So what is your action against their action? We need this opposing action, do we not? Otherwise our attempts to change it mean nothing.

I agree but the problem is most of America does not know about the NDAA, or how they are decimating the Occupy movements by destroying their right to peacefully assemble. SOPA is in it's infancy and quite honestly I don't see it doing any damage yet, to the fullest extent, of harming webpages that have no copyright infringement on it's website. However, that day will come when they have utter complacency and apathy in it's people.

The drones will be a problem and since half of America is poor they don't look at finding this beneficial because they need money to survive. The ability to protest becomes less important as you are starving. The super rich have the money and they won't give it out. They call us socialists and make the extremely dumb sheep believe we are out to get them when it's quite the opposite. Our goals are to help all Americans that are being duped by the current Congress.

Peaceful protesting I'm all for because I'm a pacifist. However, there comes a time when every person must pick up their fists to fight back a bully, or an oppressing force. We cannot allow the oppression to continue. No longer can we sit idly by and accept what our country is becoming. I am all for a gentle fist shake to show my displeasure, but they've been trying to use guns on us and you can't fight a group of ten surrounding you with weapons and all you have is your fist. Eventually you have to man up and hope reinforcements come or die trying.

We'll need several fronts for a peaceful revolution to take place. For every protestor in the streets there are a couple of people in their homes and at their jobs working to back him/her up.

The branches I see working now are the main Occupation in the streets, the suppliers keeping them in tents and food, the educators spreading the word about what's REALLY going on, the politicians supporting them (There are a few out there, whether Mr. Paul is or not I'm not sure yet.), and the home-based hacktivists and overall mischief-makers. One can be in multiple fronts at one time, obviously, but one doesn't need to be in all to be a part of the Revolution.

For practical purposes, some of us are going into quiet action. With the political climate what it is, and while it's wonderful that so many are so loud, someone has to be quiet so that when the loud start disappearing someone is left to work. In my family, my husband is in the big business field and hoping for politics later. If we're quiet now then we can be working from the inside later to lessen the blow on the loud.

I keep hearing Occupiers saying that we have to keep our voices heard, and that to be silent is to give up. Not true. Please remember that the Underground Railroad and the various resistances to the Nazis in Europe worked in secrecy. We have to consider that for a time, things may get very, very ugly. It is not a weakness to consider our own safety so that we can occupy longer.

Perhaps we should start talking about working from multiple fronts? Get those interested in education talking together, and those in supply working together, and so on? So far all of the talk seems to be very scattered.

Incidentally, I've been hearing rumors that the UN is making noises in our favor. Our voices are being heard, if not so much by the American populace.

We cant rely on the press. They wont give free 'publicity'. Plus it would threaten the 1%.
OWS needs to get their voice heard in every state and city. Maybe go on tour like a rock festival. Huge tent revival type tours and not stop till real political and economical change is established. Do it much bigger then what the Tea Party did. Although they seemed to have went to every state and county seat. Even my small county had a couple of Tea Party events at the high school gym. With pretty good turnout. People want change! If the Tea Party went to every county in the US that had to cost ALOT!
Was there Tea Party events in your local?
Could OWS organize and fund this type of action? With all volunteers, funding would be minimal but organizing would be a monumental challenge.

Tea Party events were funded by the Koch brothers........ Nobody has that kind of money, they're like the .001%

The "change" they want is yours. Of course the Tea Baggers that support this are to stupid to realize this fact.
