Looks like some folks may actually get some charges filed against them for the subprime and financial mess.

    bout damn time

the SEC played a role in covering up many of the crimes committed on wall street...they better begin prosecuting otherwise they deserve to pay until justice has been served.

We'll have to wait to see what happens with Wall Street people. Obama even said that what happened on Wall Street wasn't actually illegal but more unethical.

laws with loopholes are unethical and corrupt.

the ways in which the SEC has handled past investigations and covered up corruption that might not have been enough for prosecution at the time but which would, with time, add up to enough evidence for things to be brought to justice is their flaw and signifies corruption within the SEC itself.

if the DEA were to do that, those in power and supporters of the War on Drugs would be pissed because there would be no accumulation of evidence to support large busts.

What the SEC has done is wrong, and I only know a little bit I'm sure...but this better be only the beginning.

I do, however, support a full investigation of the SEC itself.

End the war on drugs! Where the hell is the war on corruption?!

The SEC is run by criminals, so this is ironic. Sure the Fannie and Freedie Mac execs are criminals, too, and deserve to be in jail, but more than likely these are just scapegoats because it goes a lot higher than them. Let me know when Bernanke and his boys at the Fed are sued for fraud.

The Huffington Post is circling the wagons, stating that "The GSA's" * did not have responsibility for the housing crisis.

The Left is enamored of the "GSA's"* due to the redistributive effect of housing subsidies. Yet these GSA's took a 150 billion bail out. Where is the outrage in the OWS set over this ? ? ?

Housing continues to be the most over-subsidized sector in the US economy.

Too bad Erich Holder is hunting cowboy sherrifs in Arizona.

Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal speculated that the perps will get off. In laymens terms it is a burecuratic turff war.

    * GSA's: Goverment Sponsored Enterprise; insiders term for FHLMC & FNMA. Mortgage Burecracies who are able to borrow at below market rates due to a Gvmt guaranty.

I mean if Fremont Investment & Loan or Associates go down in flames. who gives a shit. GSA's are another matter.
