Firstly the book is nothing like the film. It's about a million times better!

If you really want to immerse yourself in a book, what better way than a book that's all about books! The general gist of it is that a girl and her father can both bring things and people out of books but in return something gets taken in its place.

It's such an easy read and so interesting that you just won't want to put it down. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the other two from the trilogy, Inkspell and Inkdeath. I read these books as I fell in love with the characters from the first page and wanted to know what happened to them in the end. It could be possible to read the first one as a stand alone book but although the others aren't as good they still have their interesting moments.

If you just want something light hearted then definately give this book a chance and you'll be guaranteed to get at least a bit of enjoyment out of it.

Hope this helped a little bit x

The book is so much better than the film. Books are giving you something that the films aren't giving you, that makes the book more fun.
