In the early eighties

..for a while in the early eighties it was cool to wear your belt out of the loops on one side so that it hung down like a gunslingers belt LOL....and even wear a second belt out of the loops hanging down low...I even wore my jeans tucked into my cowboy boots[grey suede]...i cant believe i managed to get laid wearing those clothes

....it seemed like a good idea at the time

Big huge shoulder pads that put a football player to shame. Hair that walked in the room before you......

We were thinking at the time of how wonderful we looked.

I was watching an 80s TV show the other day, and loved the hair!!

I can't say much for my fashion in the early 80s. I was only a twinkle in my fathers eye!

 

I was also watching an old cowboy film, and love the belts

 

OMG.... The AquaNet usage was off the charts!! But hey, my hair was awesomely big.

 

In the early eighties I was in grade school watching silver spoons, the facts of life, family ties, and with not much fashion sense

In the early eighties, I was a little kid having fun. My idea of fashion was camouflage pants. I still sometimes wear them (No not the same ones)

 

I wore kitchen whites all through the eighties. A lost decade for me culturally as I had my nose to the grindstone.

 

I got a little crazy with the clothes. No parachute pants, or extra zippers tho. And my hair was long without any sprays or jells. No way on the mullet!

My new ball and chain busted me late one night watching this exercise show for men on cable. It wasn't pretty!

I'm sure in a few decades we will look at ourselves now and think wtf.
In the early eighties I think I was wearing really tight jeans with t-shirts.
I think I was wearing that in the 90s too.
Now it is fashionable again...I think I'd look silly, so I don't.

 

I've seen some old HBO clips on Youtube from the early 80s. They had the same young women in swimsuits like that aerobics video except that the women were dancing on a glass floor with the camera looking up at them from below the floor.

The video had a disclaimer at the beginning stating that the exercises could be hazardous to one's health. It was probably a warning to all the guys who suffered heart attacks while watching it.

I remember when the michael jackson red leather coats from thriller went on sale and dudes started wearing these to clubs etc....thank god i couldnt afford one lol

Oh boy ... Kids from Fame legwarmers ... pixie boots ... ra-ra skirts ... yeah, I was there!
