Has anybody here ever been addicted to Lyrica or known anyone who has? I've only ever experimented with it a few times and wasn't too big on it. But I know a couple people, 2 women and 1 male, who are pretty big into snorting Lyrica. One woman snorts about an average of 14 300 MG pills a day. She fucking LOVES it. I never really got too much of a "high" off it. Just wondering what is it like?
My flatmate is on it, and it makes her a horrible person. I binged on it with huge doses a few times and it doesn't do much for me except for a kind of a muffled euphoria.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pregabalin lolz. Look at the side effects. Basically looks like the shit could kill you many times over at normal doses, has little actual abuse/recreational potential, and is a generally kinda lame drug. It's schedule V, which means the shit don't get you high for shit and isn't addictive for shit.
I was on Lyrica before and fucking HATE it. What a miserable drug, couldn't sleep, couldn't get off, and my mind started to snap bad after a week or so; racing thoughts, voices in my head... a real living nightmare. I take gabapentin now.
It is schedule Five so I suppose there is some risk of dependence. Since it potentates GABA like benzos (albeit through a different mechanism), I suppose it makes sense that some would be attracted to it.
I am currently addicted to neurontin and lyrica. I have been for about a year. I find benzos incredibly stupid, they make me dumb and sloppy. Neurontin and lyrica energize me. I am the opposite of sloppy on these drugs. I can be productive and very social. Without them I can be an antisocial recluse. I take about 10,000 mg of gabapentin a day currently and 1200 mg of lyrica a day. Sometime I will add in 80-120 mg of baclofen, which also effects the same receptor.
I agree with the Scheduling. IMO Benzos are far less addictive than Hydrocodone and has less ABUSE potential than steroids and Ketamine. Most people who take benzos DO NOT get addicted to them. Almost every person I know has taken benzos legitimately at some point in their life. I have not met any person who abuses them or craves them in any way. However, I know a few people (including myself) who find Hydrocodone compounds very addictive. And, while Ketamine isn't terribly addictive, the fact that the routes of administration tend to either be insufflation or intramuscular injection, makes it dangerous for the average idiot to get their hands on. Same with 'roids. You shoot them intramuscularly and the average idiot can't do that properly. Hence the C-III.
Each reacts differently and has his or her own drug of choice. I believe that in the right hands benzos could be a hundred times as addictive as opiates in the same way your personal experience showed that opiates are more addictive.
yea. its actually sometimes more. im in for a serious withdrawal. its been like this for like 1.5 years. im scared for what is bound to happen when i stop.
IIsnt lyrica a non-narcotic used for nerve pain. I took Gabapentin before to take the edge off of opiate withdrawl, but didn't experience any recreational effects. Although i think the highest dose i took was 1500mg
