It may not directly affect me, but it does directly affect others, so why would't i want to help? And yes, the $$$ help in making this decision as well :D

RooRshack - I was completely baked last night while having this 'debate' of ours, and to be honest i don't remember 90% of the things i said, and i'm about to go smoke some more now so i don't really feel like re-reading it all, so instead of replying to that massive post, i'm officially declaring this discussion over :D

Yeah, the discussion is over because you have re-affirmed that your principles are not as important as the money you can make by selling them out, and that you have no problem joining the official violent branch of a government that jails people for drugs, even though you also debate about it on drugs.

You are what is wrong today. People who say one thing and do another, people who simply declare that they are done talking after they're obviously wrong, and people who don't have the balls to endure a little extra hardship for the sake of themselves and the whole world.

Do you just like to argue or something? I'm trying to end this discussion and make peace, why must you continue with the insults? If you remember, i did state that i do not completely agree with the government 100% therefore i don't agree with their drug policies, obviously. I'm not "saying one thing and doing another" You have no clue who i am, what i believe in, what i'm going to do, ect... I never said i was going to be a soldier... maybe i want to be a mechanic within the military? An operator, maintenance, possibly even a military police... I'm not saying i want to go out there and kill people, even though i know you're going to say something like "but you're still contributing to the death" okay well... seriously, would you rather us have NO military at all? like cmon... i doubt you would like to live in a defenseless country, yet you keep hating on the military? i know its not perfect, i know its done some horrible things, but its also done good... somebody has to fight for our country, if people like you aren't willing to do that, and insist on disrespecting the people that actually care enough to, then so be it...

I will not make peace, you are going to fight and kill (or enable others to kill) for a corrupt terroristic government.

You keep trying to make my position look silly with massive yes or no questions, if you want me to answer them, I can (in my opinion) shame you all over again......

But to answer your big irrelevant question for THIS time around, yes, I'd be perfectly happy to live in the US without a national military, the national guard is more than enough and if we had a serious need to go to war we could raise an army.

If you don't agree with things the government does, you need to stop being willing to die/kill for the government. The war on drugs is not some little part of it, it's a massive unjust part of public policy. This sounds like some soviet chump back in the day saying "I don't agree with EVERYTHING the government does, I wish my whole family hadn't been purged and I hadn't spent that "holiday" in that gulag, but I still can't live in a country with no military!".
