okay so basically I've noticed that a lot of people these days think that humans are incapable of providing for each other without asking for money in return.

I've also noticed that a lot of people like to bash the corporations and the big businesses whilst doing all their weekly shopping at a supermarket.

What I intend to do is create a website that sets out to encourage people within their local communities to grow their own food and to share it with other people that are part of the local online community.

So a person could specialize in a food - tomatoes, potatoes, mushrooms, eggs, whatever.

Have enough plants to provide for several people, then everyone gets together and shares their food and have meals together if they want.

The main idea is for people providing for each other, to prove that it can be done.

There would also be incentives for people to pitch in together to purchase bulk amounts of fair-trade foods, like big sacks of kidney beans and stuff.

and information on GM foods and water fluoridation and the like.

There would be a section and a forum for growing foods - with teks for growing edible mushrooms, beans, building a chicken coop, ect.

A section and a forum for frugal recipes.

Then the main forum would be split into local areas of the country so each person can find and communicate with local people that wish to participate.

What I hope to achieve is something similar to what freecycle achieved - a popular web scheme that uses a community incentive for positive change.

This isn't something that I intend to target at hippies per-se... More for regular sallys' and joes'. What I hope to do is create a middle-class fad that draws people into issues regarding corporate greed and tainted food and water, but doing it much more on their level.

Anyway, advice? Does something similar already exist? How easily could this be a hit?

    Thoughts and advice thankyou please
