I am a college student living on campus at my VERY liberal school. Recently a friend from down the hall brought me along to a "pleasure party" which was basically two girls who go to our school and work at a local sex shop teaching people about different types of sex toys, condoms, etc. It was very informative and I have about five new items on my Christmas list. Not sure santa would bring that kind of toys though. Anyway, even though I was hesitant to attend, I am really glad I did. Although I have had sex toys in the past and REALLY enjoyed them, I feel like I will really know what I want now. The girls running the party were really nice, easy going, and nonjudgmental and really managed to make it not feel awkward. Also, it didn't hurt that both were gorgeous and one of them was a redhead
It's always fun for me to see kids getting out there and realizing the world is not out to get them. Congratulations on your adventure and your adventurous spirit. Be careful though, there are dangerous people. Just let your *sober* intuition be your guide and you will be fine. If something feels wrong about a situation, it is. Otherwise, the playing field is pretty level. Enjoy your new friends. Ah, college! If only I'd have know then what I know now. :sunny:
haha, not sure how closely you read the post or maybe it was unclear. All though this shindig was called a pleasure party, there was no actual pleasuring one another physically. It was actually just more of an informational session in which two girls discussed sex, sex toys and more.
I wish these kinda parties would invite guys along, i'm sure the information could be put to good use with they find themselves with a girl.
Hi MissEmma: Your post was very clear and I read it very closely. My words were sincere and hung upon the following language which you used: "I am a college student living on campus at my VERY liberal school. . . . It was very informative . . . even though I was hesitant to attend, I am really glad I did. . . . I feel like I will really know what I want now. . . . The girls running the party were really nice, easy going, and nonjudgmental and really managed to make it not feel awkward." The implied inverse of this would be that you might not find such a situation at a VERY conservative school, it was a surprise that it was very informative, you had reservations about going, your knowledge about your desires prior to attending was limited, and had you not gone, those girls could very well have lived in your mind as rude, tough, judgmental and unaccommodating. It is good to see young people wake up to the world in a liberal environment. Little light bulbs are going on over heads on campuses every where and it's a comfort to me to see it happen. There are others out there who think you are being brainwashed and lead to the devil, but those are the people who live the implied inverse of your post. Enjoy these time you are living and keep an open mind. :sunny:
Emma, do you think that pleasuring would have been ok had someone started it? Would you have participated?
