It IS poison! The amount of good oxygen in the air has been steadily falling over the years while toxins and carbons increase.
There are also a load of radio active particles in the air that slowly mutate our bodies cells (cancer). Check your food products as well, the amount of carcinogens in those all add up eventually, that's why 1 in every 2.3(?) of us is gonna end up with some form of cancer. Shit happens :2thumbsup:
It is posionous... We will all die someday, it has to the air killing us. run for you lives the air is killing us......
We’re all exposed to trace amounts of radioactivity on a daily basis and its not only the air but in the bulk earth. the whole planet is trying to kill us :hide: Hotwater
haha! like someone said, it is poisonous, but we wouldn't be able to to live without oxygen, AIR does more good than bad. Our life expectancy is about 70-80 not because air poison, but because other factors and medical conditions that the we 'dont have a cure' for yet.... or the government has cures but does not approve them b/c they make too much money off of medical procedures such as chemo, plus corporations make money off of dying employees, its in their insurance.... lesson being, our existence is a lot of things, one of those things being a potential for other people to get paid, other people get paid when we are sick and suffering and when if you work for a big company, people get paid when their employees die, so our life expectancy would be longer if our government wasnt such a DICK! :2thumbsup:
The air is poisonous, especially in large towns and cities, and some people try to blame it all on second hand ciggerette smoke.
my city has about 100k people. if it goes by the national standard of 20% smokers, that'd be 20k people.. If everyone smoked a cig at the same time, that would be 1000 packs of cigs lit at once. or one hundred cartons.. it doesn't really seem like that much.. you can see 100 cartons of cigarettes in any convenience store if they have the cabinets open to stock them. now look at ONE factory. that constant billowing of black.. that might be about equal to the whole city smoking cigs.. I just made all these comparisons up, but the numbers are pretty accurate, although i think that in my trashy town the smoker rate is likely higher than 20%
If you live somewhere where it would take 80 years to kill you, you've either got amazing air quality or socialized health care!
The insidious quality of air is that oxygen is combustible which is why we exhale greenhouse gases as we burn ourselves out over time.
The way that we are pumping crap into the atmosphere, damaging the ozone and allowing the stagnation of the Planet by upsetting the natural balance (ie Rain forests) the number 80 will gradually come down (bar for those of corrupt accessibility) - (I guess that's the conspiracy theorist in me coming out)
In a way it is, since even though we need oxygen, oxidative stress over time may cause or contribute to aging.
