Could years of chronic masturbation prevent full development of my penis?

I'm new here, but let me get straight to my question...

I unfortunately was exposed to porn at a young age, around 11 years old, all thanks to my first computer. Since then, I have been addicted to porn, I am a male. I'm not talking about masturbating once a week, I've literally been masturbating about everyday for 8 years straight. I've been able to stop for a few days every couple of months, and I'm sad to say that within this period of 8 years of chronic masturbation, I have not been able to go for a month without masturbating. The longest I went was maybe three weeks, and then I continued to masturbate at LEAST once everyday.

Now I don't want you guys to tell me thats normal, to masturbate at least once every day for 8 years, starting from a very young age. There's a difference between moderation, maybe once a week or once every couple of weeks, but to go at it every day for that long is certainly an addiction and can not be healthy psychologically and physically.

My question is, could that much masturbation, every day for 8 years, cause my penis to not fully develop, or cause it to develop at a slower rate? In other words, if I had not masturbated at all, or done it less often, would my penis be developed sooner rather than later? I'm 18 years old now and recently have got it under control and am able to go a week or two without masturbating, but it certainly was an addiction.

Is it healthy, physically to masturbate that much? Is abusing my body that much bad for me, has it prevented me from developing my penis sooner? And what about mentally, and psychologically? I was diagnosed with severe depression at 16 years old, and I believe it was probably from jacking off all the time. Is it safe to say that I felt like crap, and still feel like crap, because my brain was pumping out so much dopamine while I masturbate? Could there be an inbalance in my brain chemistry (a lack of dopamine) because of the abuse I've put my body through?

365 (days a year) * 8 (years I've been masturbating daily) = 2920 times I have masturbated. I usually masturbated 2-3 times a day though, so lets just use the number 3000 of how many times I masturbated as a general estimate.

You can't tell me masturbating 3000 times over 8 years is healthy for my body, mentally or physically. I'd like to know if this is what causes me to feel depressed, if it has caused my penis to develop slower (it is average), and could cause any other psychological/health problems. Thanks.

You have said dont tell you it is normal? Ok, i wont. However, read some posts on here and you will see there are people around masturbating a lot more than that.
I discovered porn early, around 11, due to my brothers magazines. I also discovered masturbation then. I have been merrily doing it since, very regularly. My lady and i masturbate together even, it is a huge part of our sex repertoire, among other things.

I refuse to see masturbation as 'abuse' of your body. To me it is about self pleasure. I love masturbation. it makes me feel good. I can experiment with different ways of doing it. Not everyone has this option in their sex life due to a less than sexually exciting partner. In that i am lucky though.
I truely feel that masturbation wont harm you physically or phsychologically. You may do that to yourself by being hard on yourself about it.
Sure, i agree, if people choose masturbation over sex, and turn down sex to masturbate then perhaps there is an addiction, but coupled with a healthy active sex life is fine.
I found myself single after my marriage ended, and i masturbated daily for the next 18 months until i had sex again. Now i am in a long term sexual relationship, i still masturbate.
    Dont beat yourself up.

I am 18, I started masturbating when I was eleven. I have masturbated 5-10 times a week for this entire period of time. Sometimes more sometimes less, 5-10 is a decent average. Lately I've been finding it harder to fit it into my schedule and have alone time but left to my own devices I would masturbate at least once every day. It is completely normal, and I don't have any reason to suspect that it has affected the development of my penis. I feel very confident in saying that you have nothing to worry about, and I don't think there's any particular reason to describe yourself as being addicted to porn. I come on this forum every day but I don't consider it an addiction. It's just something that you do in your free time for enjoyment. Chill out.

I thought you were overeating til you said 2-3 times a day for each time.. I think a lot of guys and girls masturbate that much aswell.
I didn't start til when I was 13, I think I didn't masturbate very often til later maybe 15 and 16 when I would do it for often, I would go a few days without it or maybe a week. Then sometimes everyday for ages, normally never over once a day.

Oh and no I don't think it would have affected growth, probably wasn't the best thing to be jacking off all day.

I really doubt it can cause you any harm...

and you really dont seem 'addicted to masturbation'... i mean, at least once everyday may be a little over the average (which id say is once everyday) but its definitely not a 'problem'... really

may be you were just real bored and had lots of times for yourself... not addicted to masturbation... its not like you masturbated uncontrolably everywehre including school right?

so, no, my bet is no physical or psychological harm... and if your dick gets smaller if you masturbate everyday ... most guys dick is smaller...

    dont worry bro you're normal

When you were a child and told that a pull toy was a good thing, you may have taken it a little too far. ;)

    Seriously, masturbation is not harmful.

That you were excessive would hardly shrink your pull toy on a permanent basis other than exactly how it should have .

i didn't start until about 13, but it's been approximately daily since then. the only effect on my penis is that it started to lean to one side until i learned to use my other hand.

    that's a whole different addiction...

Your screwed, you're damned to Hell for all of eternity. Your prick is going to shrivel up, turn black and fall off.

What did you expect would happen, you knew the consequences of such horrific sin.
Hell, your username spells it out rather plainly and yet you still have to ask?

An addiction is a habit that has a detrimental effect. Therefore, so long as it doesn't interfere with your life, masturbation is unlikely to be be considered an addiction. After all, nature provides the body with its own defence system that only allows you to masturbate a maximum number of times before it demands a rest period by denying you the required erection.

Severe depression is a chemical imbalance that is hereditary. It isn't something that you get from masturbating too much. Looking back at my life I have probably jacked off nearly every day since I was about 11 and I have a healthy 6.5" penis. According to your logic if I didn't that fucker would be dragging on the ground by now.

None of us guys can tell you the answer since we all did the same thing.

You will have to find someone that is around your age who has never masturbated, and ask them if you can see how big their penis is to know for sure.

If you find that person who claims to have never masturbated do me a favor and call him a liar.

I discovered it when I was like 13, kind of delated. When I was at summer camp the year before, some kid said "I can't wait to get back home so I can spank my monkey". I'm like wha?????? Then he said. Just rub here "pointing to groin" repeatedly and you'll see what I mean dude. I didn't know wtf he was talking about and was afraid to try it until a year later. Its natural, and that's not really that young. I think I may have bent up my penis over the years. Just be gentle. If its size you're worried about, those monster cocks you see on the internet really aren't what a lot of women want because, they tend to hurt from what I've heard over and over again on the subject from friends and such. Just be happy with yourself.
