I was really surprised the other day as we still have geese leaving. They tend to be able to predict far better than we. I always hate to see them leave as I know what it means and the sound feels lonely as the go honking. In the spring though the return of the honking is a time to rejoice. I have my shovel and snowblower ready, so it may snow now.
If so, I'm hoping this year suffers a bad case of ED. I so fucking hate snow... Why am I in Chicago again?
the title of the video is "squirrel making his nest". but yea, they should have named it "squirrel collecting nest material". i can feel that i'm getting a cold now, so i guess i'm not ready for winter.

winter is cool. i used to love watching the rotary snow plows on the hill when i lived up there and lived where i could see them. my hill is called donner summit. elevation seven thousand and some odd feet. in the surrial nervana mountains in northern california, which rise from the valley at barely a hundred feet above sea level, in less then a hundred miles. i grew up on the railroad there. we also have, and require, rotary as well as push type snow plows on our interstate over the hill as well.
